Maxwell's POV
I'm bored.
It's the weekend and I'm supposed to be having fun. It's not like I'm not having fun, my friends actually came over to hang but for some reason, we're just bored. It's still early in the morning so we're just going to chill and relax while trying to figure out something fun to do.
"How's it going with you and Allison?" Kenzie asked. Jacob also looked at me, waiting for the answer.
"We're not talking," I told them.
"I thought you asked her out?" Jacob said.
"Well... I," I scratched the back of my head, "I don't know how to ask someone out..."
Jacob and Kenzie burst out laughing, "You what?!"
"Can you guys do it for me—"
"Of course not! You're going to do it yourself. Be a man, Maxwell!" Jacob held my shoulders and shook me.
"What am I going to say to her? Where do we go? How am I going to do this?" I rambled.
Kenzie thought for a moment, "How about a date at the Amusement Park?"
Jacob nodded in agreement, "That's a great idea. DM her, now."
I thought about it for a second. A date at the Amusement Park would be great, and while we walk together, I should ask her about her hobbies to get to know her better.
I grabbed my phone from its stand and opened Instagram. I saw she had posted a story, so I viewed it. It was a selfie of her and a girl. The girl was holding the phone, pinching her cheek while she was reading. It was posted 4 hours ago. Which would be around six in the morning...?
Did her friend sleep there? It was posted pretty early, or maybe she just went there early.
I typed...
max_kingsley: Hey, you up?
It took a few minutes before she replied.
allison_matthews: oh hey. and yes someone woke me up
max_kingsley: are you gonna be busy later?
allison_matthews: I can't say I have plans. why?
max_kingsley: okay, well would you like to hang out?
allison_matthews: hang out as in like— just the two of us?
I panicked. Just the two of us...? I felt like I wanted to cancel it already. I got nervous all of the sudden.
max_kingsley: No. We can bring our friends.
Shit.
allison_matthews: okay then sure
max_kingsley: okay great, see you guys at 12?
allison_matthews: yeah, ill go tell them. See ya
"Fuck," I whispered.
"What? What did she say?" Kenzie said.
"Did she reject you?" Jacob.
"No, she said yes but..." I shook my head and facepalmed, "I accidentally told her we could bring friends."
