*Karai's POV*

I woke up with a start and shot up. I hit my head on the metal thing above me.

"Omph!" I grunted as I pushed myself out from under the metal object.

How had I gotten there? I rubbed my sore head and concentrated. What happened a few minutes... or hours before?

Then I remembered. Kitanna and Leo. Ugh, the names make me want to throw up.

I hopped up, unsteady at first, and climbed down the building. I ran up to the door to the abandoned warehouse.

"Stupid lock!" I growled, trying to get in. The door was jammed, but the silent alarm was blinking.

I might have been too late. I had to get around and warn father.

---------------------------------------------

*Leo's POV*

I was being held by none other than the Shredder himself. He was holding me by my shell, holding one of my katanas up to my neck.

He let out an evil laugh. "Well, looks like the prey came after all," he hissed.

He walked over to Dogpound, who was holding Kitanna's hands behind her back tightly.

"And time to meet your demise," he threw in her face.

Kitanna let out another growl. Was she even human?

Shredder laughed again, pulling the blade up to rest on my neck.

"Whom are you worried about, daughter? The turtles or yourself?" The word "daughter" sounded like poison.

"The lives of others are what matters most," she replied.

"What would you do if the blade... slipped?" He threw me into a wall and pressed the katana to where I felt nothing but the blade blocking the blood from getting to my head.

"You have two choices, girl," Shredder spewed. "Join me, beg forgiveness, and you live. But, to get my forgiveness, you must kill Hamato Yoshi's eldest here."

Kitanna was silent for a moment. Shredder was waiting to say the second option... but why?

I felt my eyes grow wide as the blade bit at my skin. I kicked a little, and breathed hard.

"You mean me," she responded.

For the first time, I saw amazement in the Shredder's eyes. He shrugged. "Then you know I am your savior, and that you are my child. Your parents left you, and I am the one that calls you my own."

"I know whose child I am, same as Karai, if that is her real name! You dare call me a traitor, you Orokana!"

Inside my mind I gasped. Shredder released his grip and took my blade from my neck. I fell on the ground and rubbed my neck. Granted I was hurt, but I was worried. What was he going to do?

I had to think quick. If he had one of my katanas, then the other had to be here somewhere...

Bingo! Right... inside...

The chamber.

--------------------------------------------

*Kitanna's POV*

My pulse slightly increased as Shredder came closer with Leo's blade.

"Stupid child. Those words will be the end of you," he stated. "But first, let yourself get a better look at your murderer." He pulled down my hood to reveal my ears. He laughed, "Looks like that mutagen those robots gave me worked after all!" He chortled, lifting the weapon.

I braced myself at heart for what was going to happen. If it was to happen, so it shall be.

-------------------------------------------

*Karai's POV*

I finally found a window to look through. I hoped I wasn't...

Too late. Oh well, Father had Kitanna and Leo and apparently the other turtles as well. I sat back and watched for pleasure.

Father had Leo in a throat hold and Dog breath had my sister by the arms. Good. Hardly a way of escape.

Then Kitanna yelled something I knew she shouldn't have. "...You Orokana!"

She... what an idiot!

Father dropped Leo and sauntered over to her. He lifted the sword in his hands above his head.

Part of me wanted to scream, "No!" But... she deserved this...

Didn't she?

-------------------------------------------

*Leo's POV*

I had to think quickly, or Kitanna's precognition would come true. She wouldn't exist.

I looked frantically for something to distract them... but what?!

I then noticed a pair of nunchucks... Mikey's. They were right by...

My brothers! I had my chance! But what about...

No. I had to save her. I took the nunchucks and unhitched the chain mechanism and threw it at Shredder.

--------------------------------------------

*Kitanna's POV*

I heard the sound of metal on metal and grew fearful. I opened my eyes and saw Leo threw a chain around Shredder's torso. He whipped his arm back, sending Shredder into a wall.

He had to take this chance. "Leo!" I hollered. "Get your brothers and yourself out of here!"

He looked at me worriedly. "What about you?!"

"I'll be fine just go!" I felt my eyes heat up. My anger was becoming untamed. The monster pushing forth.

Leo backed up slightly and went to grab his brothers.

"Bradford! Dispose of the little nuisance already!" Shredder screeched.

"With pleasure," he growled. "Stockman, open a container!"

The scrawny scientist pushed a button to open a hatch to a different containment chamber then the ones the turtles were in. This one had shackles and needles.

"The mixture is set! This time it really will work," Stockman announced.

Leo gasped and ran towards me.

"No, Leo, stop! What are you doing?!"

"I can't just... agh!" Shredder stood and grasped Leo by the neck.

"No!" I began kicking to get free, but Bradford knew better.

He pounded my injured shoulder so hard I heard cracking. I winced at the pain and tried with the little might I had left to get free.

Shredder threw Leo into another container and closed the hatch.

Bradford wasn't far behind. He threw me on the ground, stunning my nerves. He picked my body up and strapped it into the shackles.

The hissing of the door closing filled my ears.

"Finally! No more brats to mess up my work." Stockman reached for the lever to release the steam.

I felt... odd. A new sensation flew through me. I looked over to see Leo trying desperately to escape. That vision fed the feeling. I looked over to see the little turtles in the box, cowering in fear. That fed it even more.

I locked eyes with the little Raph, who looked more afraid then ever.

That snapped. I felt my eyes glow brighter than ever. I felt the anger rushing through my veins more than I ever had.

"Let... them... Go!" I screamed.

But that wasn't a scream. It was a roar.

A loud, glass shattering roar.
