*Mikey's POV*

I was scared. What if we didn't make there in time? What if it was a trick? What is Leo's suspicions are right and she is fighting by the Shredder's side?!

I had to calm down. How, I'm not sure. I looked over at Raph to see if I could read his expression.

Easy. Concerned. Worried. Guilty?

"Hey, Raph? You alright?" I questioned.

My older brother looked at me, trying to mask the fear in his eyes. "Just... just a little worried, little brother. I'll be fine," he replied.

As he grew silent, I tried to see what Donnie was feeling. He was worried, but not as much as I thought he would be. Maybe if we were after April he would be...

I glanced at Leo. He had his leader face plastered in place, but that just made me wonder what was happening under his shell.

We slowed down as we came upon the building Kitanna and I had went into a few hours before.

"Alright, move in with caution," Leo whispered.

We snuck around back and climbed onto a window sill.

"What happened?" Raph asked, walking through the piles of glass carefully.

"Mutation situation? I don't really know. Kitanna has a voice, I can tell you that," Leo responded slowly.

"Where is she anyway?" I asked.

Donnie walked past me and then stopped dead in his tracks. "Found her," he stammered.

I gasped as I saw Kitanna, sprawled out and not moving. We ran over to her, not knowing what to do.

Raph went to lift her up.

"Raph, no!" Donnie screeched.

"What?!" He replied angrily.

"You might hurt her more than she already is," he explained.

"How can she possibly...?!" Raph was interrupted by Leo.

"We have to get her back to the lair. Now," he ordered.

"What do you...?" Donnie began.

"I just... I have a feeling something or someone is around, and we don't want to deal with them," he exclaimed.

"So you want to risk hurting Kitanna more than she already is all because you have a feeling?!" Raph hollered.

I looked down at Kitanna. She moved! I know she did! I kneeled down beside her and whispered, "Kitanna...?"

She was unresponsive, but she had slight breathing. I went to shake her shoulder, but something made me jump back.

"Ah!" I gasped.

She had cat ears!

"What is it Mikey?" Donnie asked. He walked over and his eyes widened.

"Guys..." Leo whispered. "Grab Kitanna and let's go."

Raph didn't hesitate to pick her body up and leap out of the building with her in his arms.

"Leo, what do you hear?" Donnie asked as we followed Raph out.

"I don't hear. I feel. Something bad is close," he replied in a hushed voice.

We ran into the night, hoping everything was alright.

*Raph's POV*

I tried to hold in my fear the best I could. I had to be strong. For my brothers, for Kitanna.

I looked down at the expressionless female in my arms. She let out a small shaky breath.

"Please be okay," I whispered.

*Splinter's POV*

I sat in the dojo, concentrating on my inner thoughts. I tried to clear my mind, but pictures of the night I lost my family blocked my concentration.

Nightmares, I called them.

My eyes flew open as the Shredder went to strike my wife and child. I slowed my breathing and stood. There was no way I could concentrate today.

Walking over to the shelf where I kept my photos, I couldn't help but think about the evidence Michelangelo had given me. By what chances could my long lost child be kidnapped by none other than my enemy?

I was hopeful, yet worried. If she was my child, how could I explain myself? My leaving her to die at a hospital, alone?

Out of worry and fear, I would not mention it to Kitanna. Not yet.
