*April's POV*
"Okay, if they not come back in five minutes, I'm going out to find them," I stated, pacing the floor in panic.
Leo, Mikey and Kitanna had been gone for almost three hours, and neither Leo or Mikey answered their T-phones.
"Calm down, April," Casey said, dropping his nickname for a second. "I'm sure their fine," he cooed. I could detect the fear in his voice no matter how hard he was trying to mask it.
"They should be back by now! That's it, I'm..." I was interrupted by the pitter patter sound of footsteps running. I turned to the entrance right as Kitanna was running in so fast her hood fell, revealing her new ears.
I was relieved for a moment, then fear ate all that away. None of the turtles were with her. Only a small one clutched in her hands.
"Where is everybody?! What happened?! How..." I began to spaz. She had large cuts in her armor, and her shoulder had one of the turtle's ninja stars in it. What was going on?!
Kitanna breathed in deep gulping breaths. Did she run all the way here? "No time to explain. I need to create a cure, quickly. I will need your help, Miss O'Neil. Jones, you too." She ripped the ninja star out of her shoulder and ran into Donnie's lab.
Out of curiosity and fear, I followed behind her.
"I'll need some cleaning alcohol, DNA swabs and Tylenol, please!" Kitanna said, as calm as she could.
I quickly grabbed the three things she asked for as she went and grabbed a glass shard off the ground.
I placed the utensils by the small turtle with blue eyes. "Why is there a small turtle here?" I asked.
"It's Leonardo," Kitanna replied, talking around a lump in her throat.
My eyes widened so big I thought they would fly out of my head.
"Can you help him?" Casey questioned, walking into the room.
"Good timing, Jones. I need you to find the trunk where Donnie keeps his... secret stuff," Kitanna said, using a spoon to give tiny Leo a sip of the liquid Tylenol.
"Pft, what? Why do you think I would..." Casey retorted, but Kitanna growled back.
"Just grab the neon green and crimson red fluids!"
Casey was gone within seconds. I began to worry. What if there was no cure? What happened to Donnie, Raph and Mikey? Why did Kitanna seem to be getting more animal like?
"Here, Kit," Casey said, knowing that if he used the word "kitty", he would be missing a lot more teeth.
"Thank you," Kitanna replied trying not to sound panicked. She poured the green liquid into a beaker and the red into a glass plate and placed it on a hot plate.
Kitanna then took the alcohol and rubbed it over the shell, head and stomach of the tiny Leo. She kept glancing worriedly at the hot plate, so I decided to help.
"I'll watch this," I told her. "When do I turn it off?"
She smiled, obviously relieved. "When it begins to change into a slight silver-red color," she explained. "And... thanks for dealing with this. I'm sorry, I get like this when I'm... guilt struck." She looked down, loose strands of her black ponytail covering her face. She pulled her hood up in shame.
There was a few moments of silence before Casey butted in. "Kit, if you want to talk about it when Leo's fixed, you can."
Kitanna slowly put the cotton swab down and turned her head to face us. She smiled just wide enough for her feline's to show. "Thanks, Jones. I might do that."
She then picked the tiny Leo up, placed him by the green liquid. Not long after, I heard bubbling and turned the hot plate off. The silver-pink liquid shimmered in the dim light.
"It's finished!" I stated.
She plucked the glass plate off the hot plate and poured it into the green liquid. In an instant, the liquid turned into a gold color. Kitanna grabbed an empty spray bottle and popped the nozzle off the top. She placed it on the new container and set tiny Leo on the ground.
He began to squirm, wanting to get away from the liquid.
"Leonardo," Kitanna said. The small turtle looked up into her eyes. "Trust me."

*Shredder's POV*
"She escaped?! How could this have happened?!" I bellowed. I was more than angry. This is the twenty sixth time these idiots messed up on this type of mission.
"My apologies, Master Shredder," Bradford replied.
"Don't try to flatter me. Your lucky you haven't become a hot dog yet," I growled.
"We have three of the turtles," Baxter replied shakily.
"Only three?"
"Yes. The blue one is nowhere to be found," he stated, ducking behind Bradford.
I thought this over. The eldest of the four, gone, possibly dead. If they survived this, they would still be destroyed. I began to laugh.
"Excellent. All we need now is for the brat to return for them."
