*Kitanna's POV*

"Kitanna, you may leave. I need to have a word with my sons," Master Splinter said.

I bowed, collected my gear and left the room. I had questions, but it would be best to save them for later. Besides, I had to get home and tend to my cat, Ninja. Poor thing might be starving...

"Hey Kitanna!" I heard a familiar female voice call.

"Hello, April. How are you this fine day?" I questioned.

She laughed. "Pretty good. You?"

"Having mixed emotions," I replied sitting on the couch. That was the truth.

"How so?" She asked, obviously caring.

Should I tell her? Why not. "Well... Leonardo has been acting very... hmm... angry at me, and I do not know why. Raph has been talking oddly, like he is trying to hide something from me. Donnie has been fretting over my 'wounds' I gained from the last attack by the Shredder, and Michelangelo... well, there's actually not much. He makes me laugh, forgetting..." I trailed off. Talking about it wasn't going to change what has happened. For all I know, my name isn't Kitanna.

"Forgetting what?" April pushed, wanting to help.

I had to tell someone. This was so hard hitting that I didn't even write about it in the life journal. I wanted it to wash away, disappear from existence. But I of all people knew that could never happen.

"My life is a lie. My name isn't my name, my family isn't my family. The Shredder trained me to be a killer, but I refused. Now look at what has happened. You guys are in more trouble than you were in before, my thoughts are flying everywhere, and..." I didn't want to say this, but it was truth. "It would have been better if they had just left me on that rooftop." I felt tears building up. Crying? I had never done that in front of someone before.

"Kitanna." I looked at her. A voice that stern was meant to control. "If you hadn't made it, we all would be devastated. Your not only the other half-mutant, but you are also my friend. More importantly, a Kunoichi friend. I was getting lonely by hanging around only boys, and when you came, I was relieved. A real female ninja who could help me through things I never would have known before. Don't you ever say that you'd be better off gone. Ever."

Her eyes spoke truth, as did her voice. I smiled, showing my perfectly formed feline teeth. For some odd reason, they would not go away.

"Thank you, April," I graciously replied, all sadness flying out of me. "I needed to hear that."

"No problem." After a few seconds, she added, "Hey, speaking of Kunoichi friends, could you help me with this technique Master Splinter has assigned me for the next training session?"

"Of course. When is your next lesson?" I asked.

"Tonight," she replied, grinning sheepishly.

I smirked at her. "Alright. Come over here," I gestured for her to follow me. "Now what technique is it?"

*Donnie's POV*

"My sons, I have been keeping something from you. Something, perhaps, that never should have been hidden," Sensei began.

I wiped all thoughts of my current experiments away. Master Splinter never kept secrets from us.

Sensei sighed and walked over to the photo Mikey had showed me during the sparring session. "This photo seems new to you, yes?"

We nodded in sinc.

"This picture... is of my other daughter," he slowly stated.

We gasped.

"Sensei, you had two daughters?!" Leo exclaimed, obviously surprised.

"Dudes, my brain is gonna blow! What?! How?! Who?!-" Mikey blabbered.

Raph just looked at the photo with wide eyes full of... thought?

I shrugged that off and decided to ask a question to calm everyone down. "Sensei, when was she born? Her birth couldn't have been too far from your other child, could she?"

Everyone went silent. Sensei stared at the picture, rubbing his straggly beard in thought.

"She was born three months before Miwa. Her birth was premature, and..." Sensei's voice cracked. He swallowed and continued. "We had to leave her at the hospital. The doctor promised a swift passing, making sure she wouldn't suffer. But now..."

"Hold on. Sensei, how could she have been born three months before... Miwa?" Saying the name was odd for me.

"They were twins."

Woah. Didn't see that coming.

Sensei sighed again. "I would appreciate it greatly if you didn't talk about it, especially to Kitanna," he said, caution in his voice.

"Why-" I began, but was cut off again.

"No reason. You are dismissed," Sensei finished and turned back to his photo.

We looked at each other with worry in our eyes. But we did not disobey his orders. One by one we stood and left the room.

I went to the living room and saw the unthinkable. I felt my eyes grow ten times their size.

April and Kitanna were sparring.
