So you guys probably know Five had a dog in comics, named mr. Pennycrumb, and I don't really know why I haven't seen any fics about that. So I decided to do one. You have picture of doggo on top but Ill add few else

Five wanted to have a dog ever since, and his dream finally comes true

Five first played with dog when he was around 6. He and his siblings were allowed to go with Grace to the park, and play on the playground for a little. There was a lady, around 50 years old, sitting on the bench with an old big dog. When he saw it, he knew he want to have one to himself and DO NOT share it with his siblings.

This lady apparently noticed he wanted to pet her dog or something so she smiled to him and walked over to him with her dog.

"His name is Barney and if you want you can pet him" Five looked at her with wide eyes and his smile grow bigger when Barney licked his hand. He started throw some sticks to dog and pet it, and it was probably the happiest moment in his short live. After around an hour, when Grace took kids home, he tried to come up with a plan how to convince old man to let him have a dog.

Of course, his plans came to nothing, because when he came to his father office, Reginald laughed at the boy . It really hurt young boy heart, but he promised himself that when he grow up he will have his own dog, and he will never laugh at anything that kids say [he failed to keep the second promise but who cares]

In the apocalypse he craved someone to be with him, for example dog or anything alive. He imagined his live with dog, it names, colors of his bowls and where would they go for a walks. But of course there wasn't any dogs (or people) there, so he stayed alone

At the commission he didn't really have time for thinking about even visiting shelter or pet shop, he didn't want for dog to stay alone. Honestly, he started to having thoughts, that maybe he wasn't loving enough to have a dog, he just wouldn't be a good owner for it

But than at the commission he met N

And all those thoughts disappeared, ideas for dog name coming instead. But he knew he have to get out from the horrible place his work was.

So when he opened a portal to his original time line (and pushed N first to check if it works) he hoped he's starting a new live

After probably most tiring days of his live, his first thing he was about to do was to go to fucking sleep. So he did, and his whole family did too. [boy deserves some sleep]

After few days he practically missed by sleeping and relaxing, the idea of visiting the shelter was getting more and more real to him, but he decided to talk about it with N first. He was nervous she won't want dog, because he still remembered how his father took this proposition.

"Hey N?" he come to the kitchen in one morning "Can we have a dog?" she literally dropped her cup with some drink in it

"You" five nodded not sure what she was talking about "want.a.dog?" N made a break between every word

"yes and i don't know why are you so surprised" she still had a weird look on her face "OH MY GOD YESYEYSYEYSYSYEYESYEYYEY OF COURSE WE CAN FIVE!" she jumped on him hugging him "wow I didn't knew you were such a .. dog person Fivey" N smirked stepping back a little

They were standing looking at the cage with little brown dog.

"We are taking him right" N looked at Five "right" he confirmed

after calling for Diego to pretend he was their father, listening to his jokes about incest and them being a kids, and than him signing incredible amount of adoption papers. they finally could've take a dog home

"come on mr.Pennycrumb you can do it" Five said trying teach his dog how to sit, N was looking at it with smile "oh I would help you but you named him without letting me know so go with it"

"Uncle Five can I pleaseeee play wit you dog? PRETTY PLEASEEE" Clair was whining for like half an hour now and N was getting tired. "Five let her play with the god damn dog, she's just a kid" He looked on her like she was saying something horrible. "And what will happen if she will let him eat something unhealthy? HE CAN BE SICK N AND IT'LL BE YOUR FAULT"

His girlfriend just laughed and went to the living room to talk with his siblings, Clair started to begging him again. After another 30 minutes of whining he let her see his dog. (N tried to tell him that it was also her dog but please we all know the truth)

Fives 'prettiest most beautiful best boy in the world' as he called him was currently sleeping in his and N room, when Five and Clair entered the room, he woke up and started wagging his tail. Little girl immediately run up to the dog and started petting him an calling 'doggie' . And Mr. Pennycrumb, who still was a puppy was so happy to play with something that had same amount of energy as him.

N stopped in the door fram taking a picture of Five lying under dog and Clair laughing uncontrollably

"I'll freaking make a poster from this photo and send it to your siblings for Christmas if you name something without me again "she mumbled to herself

"No, it's last time i'm saying this, you have to go there Five, and yes I can take care of our dog" said N pushing Five suitcase out the door

"Uh huh just remember he likes the pink ball the best, and give hi-" she closed the door behind him. "oh my god, sometimes I think he loves you more than me" she petted the dog "Stranger Things or Modern Family Penny?"
