Watching the old woman pick up David's unconscious body surprised Zeppeli. How could some older woman who didn't look like someone who could pick up poor David. Before she left, Zeppeli said, "Is he alright? I walked out into the hallway and found him trip and fall over." The old woman replied, "This poor boy is very clumsy, but judging by this injury he must have had quite a tumble. Do not worry, I know a doctor who lives in the hotel. He can take care of David." That's when he noticed she had a British accent while David had an Australian accent. He thought something was suspiciously afoot but instead of addressing it, Zeppeli was simply heading back to his room, where Josui and Celine were. He walked in and sat down next to them and said, "Let's start with the basics, shall we?" They teleported back to the roof and Zeppeli set the apple on the ground about three feet away from him and asked Celine to pick the apple up with her Stand, the Rocket Man. She cautiously reached for it with her stand, but the Stand then set the apple on fire, turning it to ash. "Don't worry, I'll get more apples." Then he teleported away using the Black Parade, leaving Josui and Celine on the roof. Sitting down next to her, Josui asked, "Are you okay?" She looked up to him and said, "How does this power... not corrupt you? How does this not take you over and make you.. something hidous?" Before he could answer, he sat down next to her and wrapped his right arm around her to make her feel better and said, "Well, you saw me when I got angry at Mr. Zeppeli. But over time, I slowly began to use my Stand to protect myself. Maybe that's all that you need to do, is just not think of it as a weapon, but maybe an extension of yourself." Zeppeli returned with a very large bag of apples. "Now, let's see if you can pick up an apple. If not, then I can make a warm apple sauce tonight, based on my grandmother's favorite recipe." Setting down an apple in front of Celine, Zeppeli instructed her that she must use her Stand, now known as the Rocket Man must pick up the apple without causing it to explode. Taking in a deep breath, she had her Stand float out of her arm and reached for the apple.

But alas, this didn't work.

After causing two more apples to explode, Zeppeli set down a third apple with no intention of giving up. Calmly holding out her hand, she thought about picking up the apple but there was nothing she could do as this one blew up again. Sighing, Celine felt defeated and didn't know what she was doing wrong. Zeppeli thought about what he could do to help her. He thought about his past, when he tried to control the Black Parade, but he accidentally scattered the molecules of his own brother across the universe, when they were confronted by the Stand user who had glasses that were so clear that his eyes were non-existent. Pulling out another apple, he put it in her hand and said, "Celine, just eat the apple. You need it more than I." As she began to slowly eat it, Josui sighed and decided to test something. Picking up an apple of his own, Josui threw the apple at Zeppeli, who was unaware of what was happening until the apple was about one foot away from his face. In a split second, he saw Josui throw the apple and was going to catch it with Black Parade until he noticed the look on young Celine's face. Zeppeli thought to himself, Jojo isn't stupid. But why would he throw the apple if he knew if I can catch it with the Black Parade? Wait, he isn't throwing the apple at me to harm me. Jojo's arm wasn't extended all the way for a proper throwing technique much like how he saw his Stand's arm fully extend. So this means, he's trying to use me as an opportunity for Celine to learn protection without destroying the apple.
