Chapter Thirteen: Ignite the Fire, Rocket Man!

After they all climbed into the taxi, Zeppeli asked the driver to take them to the nearest hotel. With a kind smile, he drove them there while listening to music on the driver's radio. Ten minutes later, he pulled over at a nearby hotel called the Unorthodox Jukebox. For a name that could smell of trouble like a heap of trash in the middle of a ghetto, it was a very clean place. The bushes were trimmed to the point where they were exactly flat. Hell, it seemed the bushes were even flatter than a table! The the outside of the Unorthodox Jukebox was all painted Titanium white and seemed to be clean as if the walls were scrubbed daily. The parking lot did not have any cracks in the ground, as most parking lots usually do. There were no tire marks on the ground from any other cars in the area which came off a little strange to both Josui and Celine. The taxi pulled up and stopped next to door of the hotel, letting all three of them out while they started at the hotel with uncertainty in the stomachs of the two teenagers. After Zeppeli, Josui and Celine walked inside, they came across a woman in her early fifties waving them over to the front desk. "Hello! Hello! Over here please!" They all walked over to the front desk, all of them nervous, Josui showing it the most. "Hi. Welcome to the Unorthodox Jukebox. Would you like a room?" Zeppeli then said, "Yes, we would like two rooms, one for me and another one for my children. My name is Gretta Van Fleet  and we're in Australia for vacation and wanted to see all the wonders around this place." The older woman nodded then snapped her fingers and a teenage boy about the same age and height as Josui, wearing a bellhop uniform came out of the hallway. Celine noted that he had messy red hair underneath his hat as he picked up their suitcase and backpack then waited carefully for the old woman at the front desk to say something. "Thank you, David. Could you take the luggage for Mr. Van Fleet up to his room?" She then gave Zeppeli the key to his room and had David follow them over there. When they got to the room on the second floor, Zeppeli opened the door and let David into the room, who set Josui's and Celine's bags on the bed then walked out of the room. He then asked Zeppeli if he could carry his bag. Zeppeli smiled and said, "I do not have a bag, what on earth are you talking about?" David said nothing except for, "Forgive me sir. I thought you also had one as well." Then he walked back to the lobby. Celine sat down on the bed then watched as her Stand's metal arm stretched out of her shoulder and picked up a shoe she had taken off, impressing Zeppeli with her Stand's ability. But instead of praise from Zeppeli, Celine only heard him say the words, "Very good. But you need much more practice." She nodded and watched her Stand float back into her body.

"Perhaps we should work on your Stand training. Both of you." Celine and Josui both nodded and then, they were on the roof of the hotel after traveling there via the Black Parade. Zeppeli had Josui summon his Mercury Vision and Celine her own Stand. Impressed with what her Stand looked like, Josui was staring in amazement. "Celine, Josui, I need you both to take this apple from my hand." As he held an apple in his hand, "The first one to take the apple from my hand wins the test. But..." They both looked at Zeppeli as he said, "Each of you must only use your Stands." Celine's Stand stretched out her hand and attempted grab the apple but then Mercury Vision jerked it's hand towards the apple about to grab it. Her Stand grabbed Mercury Vision's arm and twisted it in a very painful way. To make matters worse, she started to heat up her Stand's arm. Josui grabbed his arm in pain then he used his Stand to create a gigantic water bubble around Mercury Vision's arm. A fist made of water punched Celine's Stand in the head, which Josui instantly regretted as Celine gave him a look of anger. The Stand let go of Mercury Vision's arm then was about to beat the shit out of him. Her Stand's fist stopped when Josui made a shield of water to protect himself with. But then, Mercury Vision dropped its wall of water to punch Celine's Stand right in the chest. She stumbled back and coughed up some blood, which shocked Zeppeli. "Josui, control yourself! What are you doing?!" Celine's anger suddenly blew up as the Stand's fists started to glow red hot. The punches of the Stand flew in the air with steam flying off of them, showing the flaming nature of her anger. Punching Mercury Vision in the shoulder, Celine didn't even bother to notice that Josui was watching what happened to Mercury Vision and saw that something wrong. In his fight with Ramone, she had stabbed Mercury Vision in the arm several times and the same happened to his own arm. The fist of Celine's flaming Stand punching Mercury Vision's shoulder should have hurt Josui. But it didn't, meaning that Josui wasn't using his Stand. Someone else was. Celine's Stand punched the possibly fake Mercury in the chest, nearly causing him to crash into Josui. Luckily, he dodged and then heard someone mumbling the words, "Dance Magic, Dance!"  He looked around, trying to find who said those words. "Zeppeli! Someone's controlling my Stand!" Nodding his head to show his understanding of Josui's claim, he used Black Parade to restrain both Mercury Vision and Celine's Stand from hurting each other or probably destroying the building altogether. That's when he saw it. A couple of small strings were wrapped around the fake Mercury Vision's arms and legs, then Zeppeli saw joints like ones would see on a puppet on it's elbows, knees and wrists meaning that the Stand was not being puppeteer, it was by itself a fully functional puppet!

Josui then heard the words "Dance Magic, Dance!" again, using that to his advantage. Josui wished that he was right where the voice was coming from. After he closed his eyes, he reopened them then found himself on the fire escape, standing on the stairs where his head was poking out just enough to see the fight before him. Looking around he then saw David, the bellhop who had carried their luggage. He looked around and saw Zeppeli tie him up with the Black Parade in order to restrain the frightened young man. Climbing back on the roof, Josui watched as the false Mercury Vision suddenly turned into thin air. Panicking, David closed his eyes and mumbled the words, "Dance Magic Dance" again and watched as Black Parade suddenly unwrapped itself from David, causing him to fall to the ground. Zeppeli was confused by Black Parade's action as the Stand suddenly restrained him by wrapping itself around his body. Celine's Stand threw another punch this time towards David but he used Black Parade to grab her arm and restrain her. Josui summoned his Mercury Vision to take down this mysterious Stand user. Pulling back its fist, Mercury Vision attempted to punch David, to disorient him and cause him to lose his control over the Black Parade. This was a flawless plan in Josui's mind, but in execution? This was far from flawless, actually it was on the opposite side of that particular spectrum because when Mercury Vision went to throw its punch, David saw the fist of Josui's Stand approaching him, causing him to panic. The panic caused his Stand to react automatically by itself, causing Black Parade to teleport Zeppeli in front of Mercury Vision's Stand. Celine's eyes were shot with blood as her Stand went to attack to attack him. A single punch hit him in the face as it blasted him into a nearby air duct, heavily damaging it with an angered David on top. Pulling himself up off the metallic debris and standing up, David looked at Celine and her Stand and said, "Who the hell are you? And what the hell is that behind you?!" Josui shouted, "Answer our questions first! What are you doing to our Stands?!" Celine growled at David, "If you care to know, I'm a Stand user and this is my Stand, The Rocket Man! A couple of days ago, I was attacked by some inhuman monster. Then some vampire bitch tried to kill me, my friend and his family. My parents are gone and I'm going to find the Goddamn son of a bitch and kill him. But first, I WILL END YOU!!" Rocket Man then blasted off towards David when a wall of water appeared between the two of them, shown to be created by Josui. He and Zeppeli tried to do everything they could to stop David from saying those magic words. But unfortunately luck was not on their side as the words, "Dance Magic Dance!" left his lips as Mercury Vision suddenly went back under his control, only for another twist to be thrown into the mix. His body stopped moving and then Josui's arms suddenly went to his sides as his legs straightened. Then his arms and legs started to move without his control. "Leave me alone! I just found you two fighting and wanted to both of you to stop! End this or... or.. I'll hurt him!" He said pointing at Josui. His eyes were bulging out of his head as he saw Celine's flaming anger suddenly turn to a small, withering dud. She covered her mouth her hands and began to panic, realizing what danger her good friend was stuck in.

Closing her eyes, she almost started to cry until she looked at Josui, who summoned Mercury Vision to hurt her. Opening her eyes, she said to David, "I'm sorry. This last week has been a gigantic piece of shit for me. I have no idea if my parents are still alive or not and after getting this Stand, I want to burn every living thing that I see. With all of this power, I think it corrupting me. Besides, you're no threat. Amun was a threat. That vampire bitch was a threat. You? You're just a scared kid. But you're not exactly innocent either, what-ever-your-name-is. I'm only going to say this once: Stay out of my way." Josui used Mercury Vision to change positions with Celine, who sent Mercury Vision towards where she should have been standing. But then, the fist of her Stand punched David in the mouth, causing blood pour out of his mouth and bruising his head badly. Josui finally regained his bodily movements and control over his Stand. Celine walked over to the unconscious body of David and checked if he was okay. She started to lift his body to try and carry them to the room. Josui put her hand on her shoulder, "Are you alright?" She looked up at him and then burst into into tears. "This power... how do I not let this control me?" Zeppeli sighed. "I felt the same way when I was your age, Celine. Believe me, I will help you with your Stand, no matter what." Using Black Parade, Zeppeli teleported them all back to the hotel room where Josui hugged Celine, who cried into his chest. Pulling him out of the room,  Zeppeli quietly closed the door to the hotel room and then he screamed, "DEAR GOD! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!" The old woman from the front desk ran into the hall and picked up David. "Don't worry now sir, I'll have David taken care of at once!" She said as she turned around and looked at him with a sinister smile.
