Taking in a couple breathes, she looked at what Rocket Man pulled out of the back of David's neck. She remembered something Zeppeli told her, about how Josui's grandfather Joseph Joestar wrote letters to his grandmother about his many adventures, including letter Zeppeli kept. The letter talked about how Joseph and his grandson Jotaro saved a friend of theirs named Noriaki Kakyoin who was infected with a flesh bud in his forehead, letting DIO control his mind. Using this information, Celine knew what to do about the flesh bud and had Rocket Man burn it. Unfortunately, she felt a sense of dread as she lifted David over her shoulder and was about to carry him back to the room only for Zeppeli and Josui woke up. "Celine, what happened?" She looked at Josui with her eyes about to pour tears down her face. Zeppeli looked at David's unconscious body and put the pieces together of what happened.

"Celine, carry him to the room. He needs rest."

David laid in their bedroom, wrapped in blankets with a cool rag on his face and one under his neck, where the flesh bud was. Josui asked what happened and she told him everything, tears pouring down her face. Taking in what she said, Josui hugged her then replied, "You at least managed to save him. You probably did better than what I could have done." She wiped her tears away and looked back at Josui and smiled. Then a voice let out a slight moan, startling Josui and Celine. They turned around, seeing David move his head slightly. He opened his eyes and squinted in pain, looking upon our heroes. "What... what's going on?" David muttered. Then he saw Celine and almost bolted right up, but couldn't due to his injuries. Celine looked down at the floor and whispered to Josui, "Jojo, I'm going to be outside." Slowly turning his own head to face her, David replied, "You! Please, don't leave me. I want to thank you for saving my life from that man." He almost started to cry. "I don't care what you did to me, but you rescued me and saved my life. Thank you, whatever your name is. What is your name?" Josui smiled and looked at Celine who started stuttering in shock. She couldn't believe that David would forgive her for what had happened. "I'm- I'm Celine John. It's nice to meet you. Your name is David, right?" David attempted to chuckle, but he winced in pain. "Yeah, my name is David Christaine." Turning his head, David locked eyes with Josui and said, "And you are?" Celine wiped her tears away as Josui said, "I'm Josui Higashikata. I think we met the other day on the roof." Cracking a small smile, the resting body of David inflated with air as he sighed, then he replied, "Yes, I think I know you. Do your friends happen do address by Jojo by any chance?" Josui nodded in agreement as David said, "Because you saved my life, may we be friends, Jojo?" Celine looked at her friend, who was nearly in tears from David's sudden change of heart.

Zeppeli walked in then saw David, who was now conscious and conversing with his new friends. He sighed and sat down on the bed next to David. "Jojo, Celine, can you give David and myself some time to talk? There are some important matters we need to discuss." Celine was about to tell Zeppeli to give David some time to relax, but he took her hand and said, "It's okay. He just needs to ask me a few questions, that's all." She was about to interrupt him, but Josui put his hand on her shoulder and gave her a look that told her, "We probably should listen to him." They both left the room, giving Zeppeli and David some time to talk.
