Chapter 30: Masquerade Ball Part 1

Aeon's POV

"What happened to her?" salubong ni Thalia sa amin ni T ng makita nilang akay akay niya ako. Inalalayan ako ni Thalia at Dark na maupo sa sofa sa sala ng pad namin ni Dark. Hindi sumagot si T na pinagpapasalamat ko. They didn't know about my condition and they never will.

"It's just a headache" sagot ko nalang sakanila. Inabutan ako ni Dark ng baso na may lamang tubig na ininom ko naman.

"Thank you" pagpapasalamat ko saka ko nilapag ang baso sa center table.

"Again?" rinig kong tanong ni Dark.

"Yup. I'm fine though. It's just a head ache" paninigurado ko sakanila.

"You've been having those headaches for quite a while now" komento niya.

"Well, it's just the second time though and it's normal" ani ko.

"You're not drinking blood again, are you?" tanong ni Thalia. Napabuntong hininga nalang ako. They really wouldn't drop the conversation until they get the answer that they always want.

"I am" I firmly answered.

"She just needs to rest" T sense something in my tone that's why he's the one who answered.

"Anyway, we have a news" pag iiba ni Dark sa usapan.

"What is it?" tanong ko sakanya.

"I don't know if it's good or bad but-" hindi natuloy ni Dark ang sinasabi niya dahil biglang sumabat si Thalia.

"What do you mean good or bad? It's definitely a good one" Thalia said.

"Shut up Thalia" bigla namang natahimik si Thalia at tumingin nalang sa baba.

"So, as I was saying. It's a good news for those people who wants to party and have a good time" habang sinasabi ni Dark ang mga katagang iyon na diniinan pa niya ay nakatingin siya kay Thalia na nginitian nalang ng isa.

"But it's definitely a bad one for all of us" dagdag ni Dark. Mukhang alam ko na kung anong susunod niyang sasabihin.

"Tuloy na ang ball" masayang sabi ni Thalia na inunahan pa nga si Dark sa pagsasalita. Dark rolled her eyes at Thalia's enthusiasm.

"Ball? What ball?" nagtataka namang tanong ni T na hindi pa pala umaalis at nananatiling tahimik sa gilid habang nakatayo.

"It's a ball for freshman and transfer students so definitely you're included" nakangiti pa ring sagot ni Thalia sa tanong ni T. She's really happy with the incoming ball. I hate to ruin her moment but this could be a disaster for all of us.

"What changes the administration's mind?" tanong ni Dark.

"This is not a good time to get wasted and all," I said seriously.

"Is it really that bad?" tanong nanaman ng walang muwang na si Thalia.

"It is Thalia. Don't you think it's odd? Why did they continue this idea? And at a times like this?" sabi ko sakanila.

"Do you think they are planning something?" tanong naman Dark.

"Well, I doubt if they aren't" sagot ko kay Dark. They are definitely planning something.

"T can do something. He can talk to his brother" komento naman ni T. I know they know each other but I can't bring myself to trust that guy. I don't even trust my heart whenever it's beating for him. It's all platonic.

"I don't trust that guy" sagot ko sa suhestyon niya.

"Well, apparently you don't trust anyone" ani naman ni T. I look at him with a raised eyebrow.
