"Please."

"No."

"Please???"

"No."

Seraphina huffed and fel back into her seat. "What if I pout?" She asked while doing just that. "Then you'd look pathetic," Arlo said while rolling his eyes. He tried to direct his attention back to his book, he did have a project due at the end of the day, but Sera waved her hand in front of his face again. "I'm not leaving until you say it."

"It."

"You're a jerk."

"Thank you."

Arlo rubbed his head as he tried his best to ignore the girl in front of him. To go on the fourth year trip to the colleges, he had to complete this project that was analyzing all of them. Seraphina insist she was going to help him but she's gotten distract when the topic of Wellston college came up. 

"Doesn't your boyfriend go there?" "Yes...why?" "So I was right about you having a crush on him?" "..."

Now she had completely gotten off topic and was determined to her Arlo admit she was right before the bell rang. 

"Come on Arlo, it's not that hard." Arlo sighed before looking at her, "you know what is hard? Researching Loston University with you yapping in my ear." Seraphina glared at him, going silent as he settled back down with a smirk. He got a single moment of silence before he felt the table shake and she was suddenly very close to him. "If you don't back up, I'm gonna tell John you're cheating on him." Seraphina rolled her eyes, "me and John aren't together you idiot." She did relent though and sit back in her seat. 

"If you did admit I'm right-"

"Oh you're resorting to blackmail now, that's a shame."

"-I'll tell Cecile that the current king she hates is dating the previous king she hates. I know you would just love for Cecile to post that all over the school."

Arlo paused and lifted his head, Cecile would post that information all of the school in an attempt to humiliate him and lower his status. Which was dumb, because Arlo had little to no shame in the things he did. "Go ahead, I'm sure Holden will get a kick out of that. He's been shipping me and Elaine for years." Seraphina slumped against the table, "I give up." Arlo proudly smiled before he shut his book and stood up, "you tried your best." He patted her in the head before quickly leaving the library before she could kill him. 

Arlo huffed as he pulled his hand back and rubbed his palm. "That hurts, how do you kee your fingers in that position for so long?" Rei smiled as he pulled the guitar back to himself and positioned his fingers over the strings once more. "You get used to it, I think it hurts more to press down on the strings than the actual position of your hand, but you get used to that as well." Arlo shook his head fondly, he asked Rei to teach him how to play the guitar but had given up after five minutes of finger pain and complaining.

"You've only been playing the guitar for what, a month now? Honestly it's impressive how you can play so well." Not used to compliments, the greenette shrunk in on himself with a smile. Arlo lightly pushed his side as he settled closer to him. The two were currently sitting under the tree that they had claimed who knows how long ago, but the shady area had slowly become their spot to just hang out and be with one another. The leaves spread far out enough that they were constantly covered in shade and the bushes surrounding the area made it to where they were completely isolated.

And with the light from the sunlight leaking through the few openings of the leaves, they were covered in a soft golden hue that made them feel like they were the only ones living in the world. "You'll figure it out, I'm sure of it." The blonde sighed before leaning his head against his boyfriends shoulder. "Probably not, I have no reason to learn the guitar anyway. Unless you and I are gonna form a band or something." He meant it as a joke, but something flashed through the others eyes that make a smirk appear on his face as he snuggled further into the other shoulder.

"Don't even think about it."

"Why not, we could be famous or something!"

Arlo shook his head with a small chuckle and smiled when he felt an arm wrap around his shoulder. Honestly, the bark of the tree behind him and digging into his back should be extremely uncomfortable, but he's actually never been this relaxed before. He was leaned up against a tree, the neck of a guitar sitting across his lap, and snuggled against his boyfriend who's free hand was playing with his blonde locks. 

He couldn't be happier.

He blinked open his eyes, squinting as they adjusted to the darkness surrounding him. They must've fallen asleep, he noted as he liked through the parting of the leaves and found the moon sitting high in the sky. Arlo smiles however and just curled himself closer to Rei, moving the guitar off to the side and wrapping his arms around his waist and tucking his head under the others chin. He felt Rei's arms subconsciously tighten around him, his own ear pressed against Rei's chest where he could hear the steady heartbeat. 

Quickly, he was pulled back down into slumber, and he'd likely be sore from the position tomorrow morning.

But quite honest, if it was with Rei, he didn't care, he'd do anything.
