"You can't do anything right!" another punch was thrown at you while you sat helplessly on the floor. "L-Luke, I'm sorry. I'll do better-" he grabbed you by your shoulders and pulled you to your feet. You shook tremendously, tears running down your face. "You said you'd do better last time, but there won't be a next time," he told you, shoving you to the floor once again. He left the room, and you immediately scrambled to get to your phone. "Hello?" the groggy voice answered, sleep in his voice. "Judd, help me-" "Y/N, what's wrong? Is it Luke again?" his voice quickly grew angry, and you could hear him shuffling on the other end.

Judd was your best friend and he never liked Luke. He knew something was off, but when Luke asked you to marry him and you moved in together, it seemed to good to be true. After all, you two have only been together for less than a year, so it was safe to say Luke was moving entirely too fast. But after moving in, he.. changed. Into a person you didn't recognize. "Something is different tonight. I think he's gonna kill me," you breathed quickly, more tears of terror flowing down your face. "I'mma be right there, but you need to call 911, darlin'," his heavy accent dripped with concern. Your head was spinning with fear, but you hung up and called 911. You were pleading with the operator to send help to your location, but they were 5-10 minutes out.

You were trying to calm your breathing when you heard Luke's footsteps approaching, you tried to hide the phone when he entered the room, but he caught you moving around last second. "What the hell are you doing?!" he pulled you up, and the phone fell out from under you. "You bitch!" he stomped on the phone to break the screen and slapped you across the face with such a force your nose felt broken. You could barely see out of your black eye and now you had a nose that was bleeding all over the floor. You couldn't see the screen well enough to call 911 back due to the cracks and blood, but you managed to press on Judd's phone number.

He answered after the first ring, but he didn't say anything. You heard the door open and Judd appeared in the doorway. Him and Luke struggled for a bit, but he didn't budge. The police walked in and put Luke in hand cuffs. "Judd?" Officer Reyez recognized the hot tempered firefighter while he was only worried about you. You went to the hospital, Judd following the ambulance. When you were admitted. Judd was in your room the entire time. "This is all my fault. If I would've just-" "Y/N, darlin', none of this is your fault. You were smitten and you can't blame yourself for that sorry excuse of a man," Judd defended you, and you gave a small smile.

You both sat comfortably in silence, but Judd was going to leave. You grabbed his hand. "Judd, please don't leave me," you gave him pleading eyes, and he gave your hand a small squeeze as he sat down once again. "I'll never leave, sweet pea."

if you all knew the trouble i went through to insert that ONE photo of judd, you would vote.🥴 i tried using like 4 gifs & they were all too big/couldn't be imported. then i tried downloading 3 different gif making apps & none of them worked. so i settled on a photo, but none of them would upload, so i had to choose a different photo (the one above) but i saved it in my laptop 3 times & couldn't find it in my gallery, so i had to download it on my phone & upload it, but i guess the website was janky because THAT didn't work, so i had to screenshot it & crop it & it WORKED.🥲

anyway, I ADDED SOME LONE STAR IMAGINES TO THE MIX!!!! judd is my honey & his accent is to DIE for & i love that he's with a black woman (like myself🥺). so vote please & i will update again between tonight & tomorrow!! 🤍
