(A/N: While writing the dialogue between Sukuna and Shinzo towards the end of the chapter I listened to Just the two of us by Grover Washington Jr., I suggest you to listen to it while reading that part, really gets you in the mood.)
"Shinzo-chan what should I do? Kazui-kun ignores me! How do I get him to make peace with me?" a little girl the same age as Shinzo asked her while they had lunch at school.
Sukuna perked up, maybe the answer to this little girl's dumb question was the key to make the brat stop ignoring him.
Shinzo looked the curse dead in the eyes, a mischievous glint in her carbon like eyes.
"Maybe you should just apologise to him and from there your friendship will go back to normal."
"Ehhh, but that's difficult!" Miko huffed in defeat.
"You need to put your pride away Miko-chan, or you'll end up lonely!" all of that sentence was definitely a jab at Sukuna and he could tell the last part was only meant for him.
"Could you stop being passive-aggressive for fuck's sake!" he yelled exasperated.
"You're so mean, Shinzo-chan!" the other kid said with a pout.
"Yeah, what the kid said, you abominable shit goblin." the curse found himself agreeing with a human child, he really was going crazy, after all two month of being stuck in a 10 years old life as a spectator who wasn't even acknowledged a bit, would have that effect on anyone.
She only chuckled and bugged her friend to go and make up with the other kid. Why did human had to be so complex, he for sure wouldn't give a fuck if some kid was angry at him.
Wait-
"Mister Sukunaaa!" she shouted calling for him.
His head snapped towards her as fast as lightning.
"Say, have you thought about the pact, the offer is still up."
The nerve of this kid didn't know any limits. She was proposing the pact again, he knew he couldn't keep going like this for another month, no scratch that, a week, he even started agreeing with kids.
"Yes, I've thought about it and I have one more condition."
"Oh that's great! I thought you forgot about it, being an old man and all, do tell!" she excitedly continued.
He gritted his teeth, an irk mark forming on his forehead.
'Keep calm Sukuna, you have a chance to find a loophole in this stupid situation and than rip her to shreds.'
"You'll allow me to go further than this, at least a 2 kilometres radius from you and not confined to the room or building you're in or whatever shit you've got going on right now...and I will teach you everything I know about sorcery." he held his hand for her to shake, when she would have to touch him so they could shake hands he would finally be able to throw her from the roof and be done with this shit.
"Fine! And in ex-esc-" she struggled to find the right world.
"Exchange." the curse annoyedly suggested, how could this kid be so sharp witted, but struggled to say such a simple word.
"In exchange I won't ignore you so that you won't get sad and lonely." she concluded eyeing him with a glint of anticipation.
Oh how he hated her.
"Yeah yeah, fine." he finally went to grab her hand, a grin threatened to show on his lips, but he kept a straight face. They were shaking hands, sealing their binding vow. Alas a useless one, because she wouldn't even be able to use it once she had been thrown from the roof at full force.
