(A/N: hey guys I know it's been a while, but I've got a really busy schedule right now. I still enjoy writing this fic and I won't stop writing it, even if a slower pace. So please support me with any kind of comments, they really help me get back to writing.)
Shinzo did what most people would do in this kind of situation, try to pull out the goddamn thing out of her stomach.
Her eyes went wide as soucer plates, this felt like she was trying to rip her stomach apart.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. You see, they already spread their root pretty far inside you since you didn't stop your cursed energy flow and they'll only keep growing causing you excruciating pain..." Hanami started speaking in that weird way of hers.
"And why would you tell me this?" Shinzo gave the special grade a sardonic smile.
"Because it works faster if I explain it. Also I'm offering you a choice...Either you die slowly and painfully or you let me kill you fast and painlessly." the cursed spirit proposed with an amused edge in her voice.
Shinzo spat blood on the ground as she tried to rip them off again and looked Hanami dead in the eyes(?).
"I can still fight, I won't stop until I see you, the rat and the bitch monk six feet under. If I can't expel them out of my body annulling my cursed energy I will do the opposite..."
Hanami tensed, was she crazy? If she raised it, it would only kill her faster and more painfully.
"...you see... I was told I have a peculiar cursed energy and I also don't have much of a green thumb, actually every plant I ever took care of died!" she gradually rose her cursed energy until it exploded and reached dangerous levels, if there was one thing she needed to avoid during this fight was doing this, but it was the only way to survive.
The seeds growing inside her withered in an instant and the grass and plants around Shinzo ended up the same way.
"Your next, you overgrown tree!" Shinzo pointed her index at Hanami, she felt like she was high on something, she felt like nothing could kill her, she felt invincible.
(A/N: for reference if you're a manga reader, see Gojo vs Toji, she got kinda of the same enlightenment as Gojo.)
The necromancer brought her left hand down to the ground and it cracked open. A surge of shadows emerged from it and almost hit Hanami, who managed to dodge at the last moment.
In fact her arm was all charred.
Shinzo moved at an alarming speed, almost like she didn't have any articulations and limits. Her movements had been slower since she had cracked a few bones earlier, however she was moving as if she was in a dead's body, no pain, extreme elasticity .
Hanami unsheathed her left shoulder, revealing a flower that immediately got ready to hit Shinzo with a beam.
"No you don't!" cried the sorcerer as she raised the highest wall she ever did. The shadow wall was so high that everyone in the forest saw it.
Gakuganji from the other side of the forest saw it and frowned. He had to report this.
Todo and Itadori just finished beating the last one of those cursed spirits, there were too many of them, bu they were now ready to give Shinzo some backup and hurried towards the fight.
Also Sukuna was screaming Itadori's head off.
Shinzo kept running towards Hanami even if a few vines pierced her skin. The necromancer's body was numb and continued her relentless blows without flinching.
It was as like the warning of imminent death, that pain usually supplied, was shut down. Dove
The Grimoire reached Hanami and closed her fist tightly, the cursed spirit's shadow enveloped Hanami, like a deadly bear trap.
The shadows pierced Hanami's skin, though she released enough cursed energy to dissipate the attack and defend herself.
A pool of shadows erupted from the ground near Hanami, then another and another, appearing at an alarming rate.
Faster and faster and faster, they were covering all the battlefield, Hanami was able to dodge them until she got caught in one of them and couldn't get out of the attack anymore. She was being hit like a flipper and Shinzo was grinning like a mad woman.
She was the spitting imagine of that devil.
When the attack ended Shinzo had a rugged breath, but this didn't stop the sorcerer from attacking again.
Hanami caught her leg, but Shinzo rotated her whole body, breaking her ankle to hit the speciale grade with a kick coated in shadows.
The special grade even if hurt, didn't let go of the woman and hurled her towards sharp roots to impale her.
Shinzo couldn't stop her momentum even using her shadows, the high from before was running out.
Her head was pounding and Hanami was stalking ominously towards her, each step heavy, maybe the special grade was also starting to feel tired.
In a disperate attempt Shinzo summoned the dead, they started clawing at Hanami's ankle and jump onto her, some of them pulled at the branches she had in place of eyes and some of them bit her hard skin.
This slowed Hanami's advance, but it didn't stop her, she screamed in pain while one of the zombies tugged at one of the branches.
Shinzo realised she was dripping blood from her forehead once it dropped in one of her eyes causing her to rub it. Pain still didn't caught up with her.
The zombies still gripped tightly at the monster, who scrolled them off of her and loomed over the sorcerer, or where she should have been. If Hanami had eyes she would be bulging them.
Then she felt a weird pull from her own body, something, someone was emerging from it. She was quick to retaliate, but to no avail since she had no idea of what was happening.
Shinzo emerged from a shadow who was projected over Hanami's body. With the last ounce of her cursed energy she planted her shoes into Hanami's chest and gripped the eye-branches tightly.
She pulled with all she got, with whatever was left of that high from before.
Hanami let out a chilling scream of pain and the branches were out of her orbs.
The special grade fell limp to the ground. Dead.
Shinzo got off Hanami and when she turned around she saw Itadori and Todo standing there with an horrified expression.
"Hey guys what's up with the look...?" she looked at herself and realised something was off. It was very obvious, but she couldn't point out exactly what was odd, she felt dizzy.
"I feel like there's something off-" she managed to say before she fell to the ground and the last thing she heard was them shouting her name and running steps.
