The next step

Crystal POV

After a week of travelling, we made it to a village with a blacksmith, the group decided that it would be a good idea to get Jaune's gear upgraded, which is why we agreed to fight a geist that has possessed a bunch of large rocks, well currently Ren and Nora are arguing over a team name.

Nora: "How about team JNRR."

Ren: "What, why would we chose that?"

Nora: "There are more members of JNPR in this team than RWBY. It just makes sense to go with that one."

Ren: "Um, Nora I think you're forgetting someone."

He points to me.

Crystal: "Can't this wait until we get back to the village, don't forget why we're here."

Jaune: "Crystal's right, we need to focus."

There was suddenly a loud rumbling noise coming in our direction.

Jaune: "It's here."

Ruby comes flying over the forest using Cresent Rose to propel herself, a large collection of floating boulders comes crashing through the forest after her, Ruby crashes into the trees and hits one of them falling and crashing through branches.

Ruby: "Bad... Landing... Strategy!"

She eventually lands on a branch strong enough to hold her.

Jaune: "Let's get that thing off her."

Battle POV

Jaune and Crystal rushed forward and Ren lept into the trees.

Nora: "Don't forget me."

Nora fires Magnhilid at the ground behind her launching herself toward the Grimm.

Ren: "We need to draw its attention away from Ruby!"

Ruby using her semblance flies past a few of her friends.

Ruby: "Could use some help here!"

Nora shoots the Grimm in the back with a grenade while Ren is jumping through the trees, it swung at Ren with its rocky appendage, he jumped into the air to avoid it landing on the arm and stabbing down into the rock, but it seemed ineffective, Crystal turned her sword into the rifle form and fired at the mask on the middle of the centre rock, the Grimm raised its arms to block the bullets.

Jaune: "Gotta get in closer!"

Ren lands next to Jaune after jumping off the arm.

Ren: "My blades don't hurt it!"

The Grimm turned to face the two ready to strike with its arms again.

Nora: "Crap!"

Ruby: "How about this!"

She loads a magazine with an image of a lightning bolt on its side into Crescent Rose and fires. Electric bolts encase one of the Grimm's arms. The red lines on the arm glow brighter, and the Grimm slams it into the ground. All are sent flying backwards, but Ren, Nora, Crystal and Ruby manage to land on their feet. Jaune tumbles along the ground painfully until he hits a boulder and falls forward.

Jaune: *Sarcastically* "You'll be fine without a weapon, you're the strategist."

Crystal runs over to Jaune who was lying on the ground."

Crystal: "Jaune are you ok?"

Nora: "That's it!"

Nora ran forward, transforming her weapon into its hammer form, jumped into the air slamming it down on the arm of the Grimm breaking it apart sending rocks flying everywhere, a large piece flies straight toward Nora Ruby jumped in the way and knocked it away with her scythe a large group of smaller rocks go flying at Crystal and Jaune, Crystal pulled Jaune to his feet and got in front of him positioning her shield so that most of the rocks were deflected, Crystal then ran back in to fight firing at the mask again, the Grimm was swinging at Nora with its one arm she kept dodging out of the way of each attack.
