Tris POV

Aiden hops excitingly into the elevator and waits for the rest of us to get on. Today is Aiden's 10th Birthday and he only had one request...to go zip-lining. He and I are more excited about it than Four and Alyx are. I think Alyx shares a fear of heights with her dad.

I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that I had my sweet baby boy ten years ago. Time flies. Alyx holds onto Fours hand tightly as we go to the very top floor of Hancock Building. Aiden can barely contain himself from jumping up and down. I can't help but laugh at his enthusiasm. We reach the top floor and the doors open. A big gust of wind greets us.

We get out and I start strapping Aiden into the harness. Christina and a few others are waiting at the bottom to catch us. I give Aiden a big push snd he zips right off of the rooftop yelling with excitement. Alyx walks up still squeezing Four's hand.

"You don't have to do it if you don't want to sweetie." I reassure her. She ponders this for a moment then finally says, "No, I wanna do it. If Aiden can do it so can I."
Four and I smile.

"That's my brave Dauntless girl." Four says.

We help her get into the harness. I count down form 3, 2, 1 then give her a big push and she zips off into the air, screaming for her life. I can't tell whether it's excitement or fear, probably both. Next Four gets in. I can tell he still is hesitant about going on this as many times as he has done it. I smile at him before he zips off following Alyx a few minutes later.

And last but not least it's my turn. I secure myself into the harness, face first. And then push off of the building. The same intense and freeing feeling I got when I did this at only age sixteen greets me again. Wind rushes into my face making my hair flow behind me. I extend my arms out and feel like a bird flying through the cool sky. I enjoy my couple minutes of exhilaration and freedom before I reach the end and pull the brakes. I wiggle myself out of the harness and drop down as Will snd Al catch me.

"Did you guys have fun?" I ask walking up to Aiden and Alyx.

"That was the BEST THIHG EVER!!" Aiden yells with excitement. We all laugh.

"What about you Alyx?"

"It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be." She smiles slightly. Four and I exchange a glance grinning at each other. That was exactly what Four said when I made him go on the zip line for the first time.

"Well," Christina starts, "what are we waiting for? Let's go get some chocolate cake!"
