Seasonal Transitions

With the birth of each season comes new hope
as every quarter turns over like a fresh chapter
I toss in my sandals for boots and a warm coat
as with each passing year I think less about her.

Autumn brings many changes and much reflection
then winter harshly bounces in with ice and snow
and when spring blooms, it fills the air with creation
change is inevitable; so simply go with the flow.

Some of us can handle it better than others
changing with the times like a social chameleon
a process made easier by sisters and brothers
move forward and try to keep that innocent grin.

Like the seasons, life has many twists and turns
continue to do your thing while time still burns.
