A streak of sunlight comes into view, Lucas struggles to open his eyes as the harsh beam outside of his eyelids burned brightly. He felt someone whispering in his ear.

"Hey..."

The blonde boy opened his eyes, to find his raven haired partner staring down at him from above. They must've fallen asleep during their conversations last night.

"You...didn't scream at me today in the morning, good...good."

"You asked for a change, didn't you? I had thoughts yesterday at night." Ness said while stretching. "Not about you, but like, about the things you told me yesterday. And I just wanna say, that you are inspiring." (So it was about him)

"Really? Inspiring? From the things I told you yesterday? No no Ness, you have seen nothing yet. You have yet to hear the rest of my mother's valuable life lessons."

"Your mother must be a godsend, to be able to tell you these things, and to have someone as helpful as you...Hey, I'm getting good at this profanity thing."

"Gosh dude...I told you to be more polite, not like this. You were always pretty cool to me, and this is an overkill." Lucas said while grinning. He sat up to face Ness, and realized that he was half sitting on Ness' lap. "I liked who you are, you are funny."

"Too much?"

"A little bit."  Lucas said. "Don't try to back down on purpose, just talk naturally, and reflect on what you say."

"I just...Don't know, I'm fine rambling to you, but somehow I just get so pissed out when they try to argue with me."

"Well, they are not here anymore, probably a perfect time to self reflect. If we do somehow live through this apocalypses, you would most likely see other human beings, and not just me."

"You are right..."

"Yeah, and whenever you need to talk about things, we can talk, I'm here for you."

"What are you, a school counselor?"

"Perhaps, for you at least, I'm grateful  to the fact that you appreciate our talk yesterday."

...

"Are you having fun grinding my lap? You had it the entire night. I cannot lie, the way you straight up melted into me last night was adorable."

"I didn't fricking mean to, screw you." Lucas said, as the two boys laughed. Thankfully, he was able to hold off his blush. "I could tell you wanted to make that joke for a while now, is something on your mind?"

"yeah, your ass."

"On your...Mind?"

"No, on my lap, that statement I proposed above was a request, for you to remove your bum from my lap, before I have to manually do so."

"Sorry." Lucas said, trying to ignore the embarrassing remark.

"Hey, don't worry about it. That's what friends are for...oh wait-"

"I thought you were actually serious on being quiet." Lucas said.

"I thought you wanted me to be more me."

"Fair enough." Lucas said. "No homo? Or whatever the hell you kids say these days."

"Wasn't I supposed to say that?"

"Were you going to???" Lucas said while looking at his wrist. "Its been half a minute."

"Oh, alright, No homo, whatever. " Ness spit. "You really do take my jokes pretty seriously."
