Naruto pov
After breakfast I planned on going back home as to not burden Sasuke any longer and because I figured he wouldn't want me around for too long.

One question forced its way into my mind, 'Will he still be the same cold bastard when I leave'

I shook my head as to shake the thought out of my head. unfortunately for me Sasuke noticed and shot me a confused glance.

I waved him off and focused my attention back on the TV which was playing the Simpsons. I didn't care much for the show but I honestly didn't want to leave just yet so I pretended i was interested.

Once the painfully long episode ended, I got up and stretched. "I should probably get going, I don't want to stay longer than I'm welcome"

"Oh ok, well I'll cya tomorrow in school then?" He asked to which I nodded and gave him a thumbs up.

That stupid question still lingered in my mind though. I really wanted to keep the nice Sasuke around but I don't know if the whole act was temporary.

I turned around to walk out of the door but I paused just as I was about to twist the doorknob.

'Well I guess I should ask now rather than wait until he's a jerk again I thought.

Sasuke pov
I switched the TV off and was about to bid my goodbyes to the dobe but he stopped and turned around, seeming to analyze my every move.

I raised an eyebrow at him in confusion which was quickly erased by a now anxious looking blond walking up to me, looking at me suspiciously in the eye.

"Was your attitude today only temporary? Will you go back to being a jerk tomorrow?"He asked, looking away from me as he did so. I shook my head before messing his hair up with a tiny smirk.

"Nope I'll still be how I was today. If I planned on being a bastard like usual I would have kicked you out of my house by now" I joked and he smiled with a nod.

"I'm happy I finally got you back. Thank you sasuke"

I froze for a moment. I saw Naruto with a small smile on his face and felt my cheeks beat up a bit 'is this what most people call butterflies?' I thought, noting the feeling in my stomach.

I nodded "yeah me to" was all I could think to say before being pulled into a brief hug.

I smiled even more (thankfully he couldn't see it) and pressed my face into his shoulder while wrapping my arms around him in return, giving his a gentle squeeze.

He pulled back and smiled. He laughed silently and walked towards my door while waving.

I watched him type something into his phone and heard my phone go off in my pocket.

I checked what he had sent me and just read 'thanks again! Cya tomorrow! Oh and you have to be nice now, if your mean I'll slap you again! Haha just kidding'

I rolled my eyes but a smirk crossed my face regardless "tch that dobe" I muttured and walked upstairs with the first smile I wore in a while.

Naruto pov
I couldn't believe it! Not only was Sasuke not being a jerk to me anymore he was gonna be nice again!

I made a list of everything he had done in the past night I was at his house and it made me extremely happy but also surprised.

He didn't just comfort me from my nightmare he hugged me back to sleep, he made me breakfast, he's hugged me more than once...willingly, and he even said he would give an explanation as to why he dropped me!

'Wow i never would have thought that the person who had gotten me so mad just yesterday would be the reason I'm happy right now' I thought and flopped onto my couch wearing a happy smile.

The next morning my mood from the day before hadn't dimmed much...well after I had gotten over the annoyance of waking up SUPER early that is.

I'm currently making myself breakfast...ha just kidding I'm making instant Ramen. My phone buzzed in my pocket  and I took it out curiously.

I unlocked it and saw a message from Sasuke 'I wonder what he wants this early'

Duckass
Dobe do you want a ride to school rather than walking? if so I'll be there in like five minutes.

My eyes widened in surprise but then creased with a smile. 'he didn't lie?' I thought and replied quickly.

Me
Yeah sure! Thanks! Let me know when you're here!

Duckass
Ok I'm pulling onto your street now actually

Me
Ok lemme just get my Ramen!

After that I didn't get a response but my microwave did start beeping. I jumped in alarm and then went over to the microwave and took out my Ramen.

Then I grabbed my phone, backpack, and a fork before rushing out to sasukes car.

I sat down in the passengers seat and set my Ramen down in the cup holder while I set my bag down at my feet.

"Ramen for breakfast? Seriously?" He asked raising and eyebrow at me as i put my seat belt on.

"Well yeah of course, you think I'm gonna cook for myself in the morning?" I typed and showed him my phone.

"Oh of course not, why would you ever get out of bed early enough to cook" he responded sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.

I groaned then pressed the on button on the radio "you don't mind right?" I asked remembering despite the events of last night, our friendship wasn't back to how it used to be yet.

"yeah you can play music i don't mind" he told me to which I smiled and he started the car.

Fall out boy was playing in the background the whole time since sasuke phone was connected to the car. Just as Sasuke pulled into the schools parking lot i slurped up the last of my Ramen.

He went to get out of the car but a really good song was on so I grabbed the back of his shirt and made him stay for the rest of the song before we started our school day
