Sophia
"What do you mean you don't have a wolf?" Michael asked, moving to sit next to me on the bed.
He put his arms around me and he pulled me onto his lap. I allowed him to do that as I wrapped my arms around his neck and burried my wet face in his shirt.
"Exactly that," I said. "I was born without a wolf."
I could tell he was confused. "But, how can Charles be alpha then?"
"Charlie and Tommy both have wolves. I'm the only one that doesn't."
He loosened his grip on me and I tightened mine on him. Please don't leave me! I felt his hand go onto my waist and he pushed a bit, but I quickly pulled onto him more.
"Hey, Sophia-"
"No!" I said. "Don't let go!"
"Babe-"
"Please!" I cried. He was quiet as I cried on him. "I didn't think I'd even have a mate in the world. I spent so long thinking I didn't have one, and now I've found you! Please, please don't leave me."
He wrapped his hands around me again and gave me a large hug. I was very surprised. I seriously thought he would leave me. I closed my eyes as he put his face in my hair, right next to my ear.
"I'm never going to leave you Sophia," he whispered. "I'll always be here for you."
I smiled and then he picked me up bridal style and carried me out of my room. He carefully walked down the steps and into the living room where my mom, dad, and brother were sitting. When they all saw me with tears on my face, they all stood up and Charlie ran over to me. Michael was reluctant to put me down, but when he did, Charlie consumed me in a hug.
"I'm sorry Soph," Charlie said. "I was being too protective."
I hugged him back. "It's okay."
Charlie let me out of the hug and tucked me under his arm as he extended his hand out to Michael. He shook it and smiles appeared on both of their faces.
"I'm sorry about earlier," Charlie said.
"It's alright. Now give her back," Michael said, quickly grabbing my arm and pulling me to him.
I laughed as Charlie smiled. Michael smiled as well as he led me to the couch where mom and dad were waiting for us. Mom had a large smile on her face and I returned her smile.
"So, is the reason you protect Sophia so much because she doesn't have a wolf?" Michael asked, placing his arm over my shoulders as I sat next to him.
Dad and Charlie nodded slowly as mom shot glances at them both.
"We've been worried about her since she was little," dad said.
"We?" mom said. "I think you mean you and then you brought that worry onto your sons and the pack."
Dad cringed a bit and looked down at his hands. Suddenly my phone buzzed in my pocket, and then it buzzed again. I knew who it was; it was the creep who kept texting me. I had no clue who it was, but I was just going to ignore them now.
Michael and Charlie looked at me weirdly.
"Aren't you going to answer that?" Michael asked.
"No."
"Thats strange, you always answer your phone calls," Charlie stated.
He was right. If I didn't answer it, he'd think something was wrong. But I didn't want to answer it, and I also didn't want Charlie to pester me about it. I sighed and pulled my phone out of my pocket and answered it.
