Sophia
"This place is looking great!" Lily squealed. "Thanks for all your help!"
There were lots of 'no problem' and 'you're welcome' from everyone around. Charlie wrapped his arm around Lily's waist and I then noticed that Michael was standing on the other side of the group of people, away from me. That just fueled my anger toward him.
"So, how about some lunch?" Charlie suggested. Once everyone agreed, Tommy came into the living room of the new house with bags of Subway sandwiches.
Everyone grabbed a sandwich and found a place to sit. I sat on a white loveseat and I was happy that Michael chose to finally sit next to me. We smiled at each other before we started eating our food. Everything was quiet as people ate their lunch. It was pretty clear that we were all hungry.
"So, Michael, did you get Alpha Alex to sign that treaty and agree to help with Sophia?" Charlie asked.
Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Michael slide his hand across his throat to tell Charlie to stop, but as soon as I glared at Michael, he cleared his throat and refused to look me in the eyes.
"So, even Charlie knew about the meeting?" I asked, acid dripping into my voice.
"Sophia, this really isn't the time for an argument," Michael whispered.
"Oh, this isn't an argument. If you want an argument, then I could easily start an argument."
"Sophia, please calm down," Michael quietly said, placing a hand on my arm.
I stood up and shook his hand off me. "Michael, I love you, but I'm not a useless person! I can care for myself!"
"Yeah, you proved that pretty well when you got yourself kidnapped for almost a week!" Michael snapped, standing up as well.
As soon as he said that, his face fell and everyone around us gasped. I narrowed my eyes at him. So he did think I was useless. I looked away from him and stared at the floor, fighting back some tears.
"Sophia, I didn't mean that-"
"Oh sure, you didn't mean it! Then why the hell did you say it?!" I snapped, looking back at him. He flinched and his face became sad as he saw the tears coming down my face.
"Sophia-"
"You don't own me Michael! I'm my own person and I don't want three packs protecting me from one or two men!"
With that said, I threw my food back into a bag and started walking out of the room. Michael slowly started to follow me, saying I needed to be more gracious for him saving me and how he could've easily left me in that room with Brayden.
I was growing angrier by the second and Michael's words were hurting me. I needed to hurt him as well, but I didn't know how. I threw open the front door and there stood Simon, Michael's young pack doctor. He was coming to help? Or was he here to check on me? Either way, I thought of a way to hurt Michael.
"Um, h-hello Sophia," Simon said. "How are you-"
I cut him off from talking by grabbing his face and kissing him. My lips crashed into his and everything around us was silent. After a good five seconds of kissing him I pulled back. Simon stared at me with incredibly large eyes and he was beet red.
I looked back and frowned at Michael, who stared at me and Simon with surprised and angry eyes. A quick glance back at everyone else showed the same expression as Simon. I glared at Michael again before I marched out of the house and stormed away into the woods, away from everyone.
