Charlie

"Why did you do that?" Michael asked.

Michael, Tommy, and I were sitting in my office, not doing anything. I apologized to him about what happened, and he accepted my apology, but I knew he was disappointed. I told Tommy to go back to bed, but he refused to since now he was wide awake.

"I don't know, I guess I don't like the thought of my twin sister...mating," I sighed.

"I can understand that," Michael said.

"Really?" Tommy asked.

"Yeah, I was like that toward my cousin. She's the closest thing I have to a sister, and I was a little protective toward her when she found her mate," he explained. "But I didn't go so far as to stop their...mating."

I nodded.

"Help!"

I instantly froze. That was Sophia. Michael and Tommy heard it as well. I couldn't get out the door fast enough to see what was happening. The three of us sprinted through the trees to Lily's house.

Sophia never called for help. Never. Not even when she was in trouble. Now that she was actually asking for help, from anyone, she was in danger.

Once we were outside Lily's house, I noticed that her guards were lying on the ground and her front door was open. What happened?!

"Lily! Sophia!" I shouted.

I heard a groan from the kitchen and ran in there to see my mate naked and on the floor, surrounded by blood. When she turned over, I growled loudly and rushed to her side to hide her body from Tommy and Michael.

"Lily! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I asked, pulling her close to me.

"I'm fine Charlie," Lily quietly said.

"Here, put this on," Tommy said, throwing a sundress at her from the kitchen entrance.

I helped her put it on and then helped her stand up. Thank God she was safe. I quickly pulled her into a hug an she slowly hugged me back.

"I'm so glad you're alright."

We entered Lily's house where Sophia was staying and I instantly smelled blood. I looked in the kitchen and saw Charlie holding his mate, shielding her from our eyes. Tommy and I quickly searched the living room for something to cover her up with.

"Here, put this on," Tommy said, throwing a dress at Charlie.

Once she was dressed, I entered the kitchen and started looking around wildly. Where was Sophia? I could smell her in here, but she wasn't here. I noticed a knife with blood on the counter and the knife instantly smelled like mowed grass and lavander.

A cry and a growl escaped me as looked at the utensil.

Lily broke away from Charlie and quickly put a hand on my shoulder.

"That's not her blood!" she explained. "That's someone else's. She stabbed them."

I sighed in extreme relief. That still didn't tell me where she was though. Tommy picked up a stray frying pan and held it up with a smile.

"Always going for laughs," he commented. "Sophia used this."

That's cool and all, but where the hell is she?! Salem exclaimed.

I don't know! We'll find her though. I tried convincing, but I needed it more than him.

"What happened Lily?" Charlie asked, looking around the room at the ruined table and chairs.

"Sophia and I were standing here eating ice cream when three big guys barged in and wanted to take her away," Lily explained. "While I was attacked, they ganged up on her-"

I growled very loudly at how she phrased that.

"And she stabbed the one that was attacking me, but then I got knocked out before I could see what happened to her."

Charlie looked to be on the verge of tears, as well as Lily and Tommy. They really cared for her, but I was already in tears. She was gone! And it was Logan Hills's fault.

"I need to tell you something," I stated, causing them all to look at me. "Earlier tonight, my pack was attacked by a group of rogues that wanted to take Sophia away to some guy name Logan Hills."

Charlie and Tommy physically tensed at the name. I frowned at them.

"Do you know who that is?"

They looked at each other before Charlie quickly pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number. He put it on speaker and it rung several times before a woman answered.

"Charles? What's wrong?" Ira asked. She sounded tired, yet wide awake.

"Charles? Are you okay? Is everything alright?" Kostas asked.

"We've been attacked," Charlie stated.

"What?!" Kostas exclaimed. "Is everyone okay?"

"Mostly," Charlie continued, eyeing me. "We have a very big problem though."

"What is it honey?" Ira asked, very concerned. "Is the pack alright? Is Lily?"

"It's Sophia," he said, his voice breaking.

Kostas growled and Ira gasped. "What happened?!"

"They took her, and we don't know where," Tommy explained.

Kostas growled again and Ira started crying. I understood their pain, maybe a little moreso.

"When I find out who's done this I'm going to kill them!" Kostas growled. "We'll be home right away."

"We already know who did it," Lily stated, her voice sounding strong.

Charlie's parents were silent for a moment before Ira asked who it was. I had no idea who this Logan was, but apparently Charlie and his family knew.

"Logan Hills," I said.

"Grandpa," Charlie stated with loads of acid in his voice.

Ira and Kostas were both silent before Ira cried out and sobbed uncontrolably. Kostas whimpered and growled before he said that they'll be here in the morning and hung up.

I felt awful for Charlie and his family now. His own grandfather kidnapped his sister. That's terrible, but I swear, I don't care if he is their grandfather, I'm going to kill him for kidnapping her.

Suddenly I was grabbed by my collar and I was staring in the maddening eyes of the Alpha of the Bright Night pack.

"What the hell did those rogues say to you?"
