Elejah
Elena walked into the parlor, a small wooden box in her hands. Elijah sat on the couch enjoying a book in his lap, when Elena set the box down on the coffee table in front of him. She stood back and waited for him to acknowledge her.
Elijah's eyes slowly moved from the words on the page to the box in front of him, he raised an eyebrow at it. He looked up at Elena and sighed, closing his book and setting it aside.
He sat there for a while, they didn't say anything, they didn't do anything, one stood and the other sat. Elijah noticed her attire, she was dressed for colder weather, a large puffy jacket on and pants with hiking boots. Elena didn't care how she looked she just wanted to see her boyfriends reaction. He had called her crazy, he didn't believe it, but now before them was all the proof Elijah needed to finally believe it.
He broke eye contact and grabbed the box, opening it and looking down at the small red glass tube. It reminded him of a small lava lamp. He took it out of its place and got a closer look. Elena watched his every move, finally Elijah put it back in its place and set the box back down.
"You said it didn't exist" were the first words she spoke. "You said that there was no way for this to be able to exist" Elijah crossed a leg over the other and rubbed his chin with his hand. "You said that it was foolish to hope for something such as this" Elijah didn't look at her, he was too busy in deep thought. "I worked for months to try and find this thing" a memory of Elena reading through book after book, staying up night after night popped into his head. "I worked my ass off every single day to try and find this and every step of the way you said it was impossible, that there was no cure for vampirism. It didn't exist" Elijah sighed, his train of thought officially losing its tracks. "And yet here it is, right in front of you"
Elijah blinked, he sat up from the couch and made himself a drink. Elena glared at him, she was a mess, her hair had dirt, twigs and leafs in it and her clothes full of mud, she even had some of her own dried blood on her from all of the small cuts and scrapes she had gotten. Elena stands before her boyfriend, a mess with the cure, the same cure that he so faithfully believed was fake and he doesn't say a word. Instead he stands up and gets a drink.
"Say something"
Elijah took a sip and shrugged. "What do you want me to say? Do you want me to congratulate you on being the one to find this? Well if so than congratulations. Or did you want to hear me say that you were right all along and I was wrong?"
Elena frowned. "You don't have to be a dick about it"
Elijah chuckled. "Well how did you want me to take it?"
Elena narrowed her eyes at him, outraged. "I don't know, but I didn't want you to act like this! Why are you so upset? I just found this god damn cure after months of searching and you can't even give me some appreciation? Or you know what! A congratulations would be good! I spent every waking hour of my time into finding this and your acting like a prick about it!"
Elijah nodded. "Okay, well let me ask you this. What do you plan on doing with this cure now that you found it?"
Elena was astonished. "Elijah. I didn't spend all of this time looking for this cure just to get rid of it or sell it, I'm gonna take it"
Elijah set his cup down. "And that right there is why I am being a prick as you put it. You plan on taking this cure, one that you know absolutely nothing about. How are you even sure this is the real thing? All you know about this is what my sister has told you"
Elena shook her head, refusing this negative energy from him. "Elijah I don't care what effect this might have on me. I don't care that I barley know what this can do. I don't care about any of it, I'm gonna take that risk by taking the cure"
