Chapter 13

Parker's POV

Rushing out of the back exit of the school building ,with Rosabella being dragged by me. I could see her poor little legs struggling to keep up ,but there was no time to stop cause I couldn't put her at risk of being near any vampires.

She looked so confused as her eyebrows furrowed, I felt bad for her being dragged into all of this .Her being mates to my brother is gonna put a target right on her back being the alpha's mate.

Scanning the area to see what looked like vampires sat near the car park I knew it was to much or a risk to try get to my car ,so I made a quick decision to take us threw the woods.

Damon would probably kill me if he found out I dragged his mate into the woods ,
But I wasn't left with much choice on what to do 

I retried to convince myself it would probably be ok ,I could protect her my wolf agreed with me and I knew the woods like the back of my hand. The amount of times I ran when I was a child was to many to count I always ran round in the woods until someone would catch me .I thought it was like a fun game of hide and seek though my parents strongly disagreed with that. What can I say I was a trouble maker.

Weaving through the trees my grip on rosabella hand tightened pulling her along quicker.

I decided then the safest place for us to go was the pack house so we could protect her easier.  I'm not sure how the other wolves would react to me dragging a human into the pack house ,but they would have to get over it quickly Cause she is gonna become there Luna.

My sense were on high alert ,I could get lost in my thoughts when I had a job to do .that to look after my friend and future Luna. Damon would kill me if anything happened to her ,but to be honest I don't think I could live with myself if something did happen to her ,she's to pure for this world.

The sound of leaves rustling behind us caught my attention, this set my wolf into a protective mode to push my body to speeds I didn't think I could run.

Grabbing rosabella I picked her up in my arms and ran faster .she looked shocked and surprised at my sudden action but kept quiet as we ran towards the pack house that I could see in the distance. We wasn't that far from it now.

The sound of trees rusting brought me curiosity .glancing up I saw a vampire jump from a tree and land right in front of us causing rosabella to let out a squeal.

I stepped back from the vampire slightly with Rosabella clinging to me now for dear life. Her breathing had become more heavy as her heartbeat was racing ,she looked like a dear in headlights.

My wolf surfaced deciding he was gonna protect her, as I was to slow for his linking .Well news flash asshole we are both gonna protect her as I'm the one I charge out the two of us . Wow my wolf is the muscle and the brains of the operation and he doesn't seem to get that most the time. He's just an impatient bastard.

Another squeal stopped mine and my wolfs bickering. Rosabella was looking behind us. I looked where she was looking and there was another blood thirsty vampire.

Shit we were trapped between the two of them I'm. It sure how I'm gonna fight two of them whilst not letting Rosabella get in the middle of it.

Normally when I fight it doesn't involve any other emotion but rage and hatred ,but when it comes to her ,I felt pressure and worry of losing but that worry inside of me felt like it was pushing me to try even harder to protect something I care for.

Looking at my flower she was hiding her face in my shoulder not wanting to look at the vampires. Can't blame her really there were hideous in my opinion ,but my conscious is telling me that it's probably cause she scared of them and not there appearance,however I'm not changing my mind that I think there ugly.

The vampire in front me spoke

"Give us the light and I'll let you live" he said snuggly with a sick twist smile on his face as he looked my the girl in my arms

That set my wolf of in a frenzy ,he wanted that vampire dead 6 feet under after he suffers a slow torturous death by the hands of me ,if he thinks I'm willingly gonna  hand her over to a blood sucker like him.

I growled at him as Rosabella whimpered in my arms

"Very well then mut, you clearly want to do this the hard way then"His eyes glowed red

Just as the vampire was about to lunge at us ,two wolves emerged out from behind the trees attacking the vampires.

I knew the two wolves quite well as they are both pack warriors who guard the border of the pack house ,I use to train with them back when I use to take my training seriously a few years back.

Holding my flower in my arms tighter I ran toward the pack house whilst the vampires were preoccupied dealing with pack warriors

I heard her gasp as she was looking over my shoulder at the vampires and wolves fighter. I quickly pushed her head back into my shoulder ,I don't fancy explaining to her mate why she looks mortified.

Approaching the front door the pack house I barged in slamming the door behind  me. This just dragged all the eyes of pack members and my mother to look at me confused as to why my eyes were turned purple and I'm a gasping for air and growling ,oh and did I forget to mention a girl snuggled up in my arms too.

They probably thought I'd finally gone mad after all these years.it not like I've had the best reputation within the pack.

My mother had a concerned look in her expression as she looked at me. She quickly ushered everyone else out of the house and signalled for me to go upstairs her following not far behind.

Once we entered my bedroom I sat down with Rosabella still in my arms now sat on my lap

My mother sat on the chair in front of us staring at me wanting some sort of an explanation. Looking down at my flower in my arms she still had her face buried in my shoulder she kept so still the only thing I could feel was her little heartbeat racing.

Carefully I moved her face from my shoulder to look at . She was so shaken up I knew she needed comfort but I wasn't so use to comforting people ,I've never done it before.

"Umm flower you need to calm your breathing , take deep breaths with me ok?" She luckily nodded at me and started to breath

She was starting to calm down a bit ,but she just looked so exhausted. understandable though she had just discovered about our kind.

I'd mind linked Damon to get here a few minutes ago so he should be here in any second I just hope he doesn't freak out too much ,I don't think I've  prepared myself enough to have to put up with his whining.
