Chapter 11

I'd woken up still in my clothes from the day before ,I don't realise how much sleep I need for my body to recover cause it's now the morning.

Maybe Nicolas is probably home by now .I quickly got changed into new clothes getting ready for school ,then going downstairs to search for Nicolas.

Walking down stairs my nose was filled with the fresh smell of what seemed to be blueberry pancakes. There my absolute favourite.

My brother turned around to face me when I entered the kitchen. He studied my face clearly trying to decipher if anything was wrong .it was probably cause was asleep when he came home.

I gave him a bright smile saying morning I'm the chirpiest voice possible to show him I was ok. He visibly relaxed a bit seeing me being ok and told me to sit and eat my pancakes quickly cause school was starting soon and we would have to leave.That reminded me I hadn't told him about my new friend dropping me to school from now on.

"Umm Nicolas" he hummed in response to show he was listening to what I was about to say

"I don't need you to drive me today because umm I have a errr friend who said they would take me from now on " I quickly rushed out in one breath in a whisper

His head snapped in my direction with widened eyes then his expression changed to his overprotective brother look I know all to well

"When will I get to meet this friend of yours"

"Umm I'm not sure ,he's picking me up in a minute"

My brother face went stiff as he said

"HE "

Oh no

"I'm definitely meeting this boy or else there no chance your getting in a car with him "

I mumbled a ok which he heard .I always did listen to my brother some could say I'm a push over or to obedient that I obey every thing he says , but I know it's just cause he's doing it for my safety cause of losing our parents 6 years ago ,he's become very protective over me with everything.

Pushing me out my thoughts was the sound of the door bell ringing. I rushed out of the kitchen towards the front door only to find the door already being answered by my brother.

Slowing my pace I approached my brother to find him talking ,more like trying to intimidate Parker ,who was the one knocking on our door.

Parker seemed unfazed by my brothers glared but I'm not too surprised cause he grew up with Damon's intimidating glares that could make anyone cower away. All accept Parker. It did make me wonder if he was really brave or just to idiotic to notice when someone is trying to intimidate him ,but I'll give it to him that he does appear to be fearless.

I stepped in quickly to end what ever staring contest my brother was trying to have with Parker which he just seemed to find amusing.

"Umm we will be leaving now nic I'll see you after school" I mumbled to him softy

He stopped his glaring at Parker and looked at me he sighed in defeat knowing he was gonna let me go to school with him. He kissed the top of my head and wished me a good day ,not forgetting to glare at Parker on the way out as he watched us drive of to school.

In the car Parker decided to blast the radio and have all the windows down screaming the lyrics out of the window ,getting us strange looks from strangers causing me to let out a giggle.

The longer I got to know him the more I realised how much or a carefree fun person he was ,he was quite different to me I'm a anxious stressed out mess. But even though we are very opposite we get on very well. I'm lucky to have made such a good friend so soon.

I loosened up a bit humming along to the song and letting the wind blow through my long blonde locks flow through the air. I'd not felt this free and calm for as long as I can remember.

I promise the story gets more interesting in the next few chapters so please don't give up reading yet .I've come up with a plot line I'm happy with so I hope you will enjoy it.
