chapter fourty-seven

"Just breathe," Loki said worried as we walked towards the hospital building. "Don't tell me to breathe all the time. I am already breathing." I said a bit annoyed as we entered the building and headed for the room someone at the entry told us to go. I was in a laber and our doctor wasn't around at the moment. I stopped walking for a second as I felt pain again and my water broke. "Don't panic now," Loki said calmly. "I'm not panicking," I said concerned as Loki helped me lay down on a bed before Nat and Thor reached us. "We came as fast as we could," Thor said and looked at me. "Anything funny. Just get the fucking doctor right now." I shouted as I had a contraction again. 

Thor and Nat headed outside and searched for our doctor and as they finally found someone who informed our doctor they came back. "The doctor will be here soon," Nat said calmly. "You see. Everything will be alright." Loki said nicely. "I can't wait any longer," I said in pain as I had a more painful and length contraction. "Why did we do that again?" I asked jokingly. "Good evening Mr. and Mrs. Laufeyson. How do you feel?" The doctor asked nicely as he entered the room and Thor and Nat walked outside to wait. "Good so far," Loki replied softly. "Totaly fine," I replied sarcastically. "Let's see how far you are and at which time we can start." The doctor said and walked closer. "I'm ready now. Get them out of me." I said as I had another contraction. "Well yes..." The doctor said and rushed outside to call for help. 

"You're right. We have to start now." The doctor said calmly as two women came inside to help. "I told you," I said as I had another contraction. "I know. But now focus on this." Loki said calmly and I started pushing on command. "Don't forget to breath Mrs. Laufeyson." The doctor said as he was able to see the first head. "Why is everyone telling me to breath?" I asked while pushing and heard the first child screaming and one woman carried it over to clean it up and check it. "One still left. You have to push again." The doctor said and I started pushing again. Loki was all the time at my side and was holding my hand. He was a very good help and stayed calm for me even if I had shouted at him earlier. "You have to be..." The doctor said and I interrupted him. "Don't tell me to breathe. I'm breathing." I said exhausted while I was pushing and we heard the second child screaming. The other women took our second child to clean and check it. 

After a short while, the two women laid the babies on my chest. "This is the first and it's a boy. The second one is a girl." The doctor said smiling. "Congratulations." The doctor said before he and the two women headed outside. Exhausted but very happy I looked at our two beautiful babies. "I love you, darling," Loki said happily. "I love you too, Loki," I replied and we kissed softly. Loki sat down on the bed directly next to me and took our little boy in his arms and stroked softly along his head. Soon after Nat and Thor entered the room and congratulated us. Both of them smiling happily as they looked at our babies. "Any ideas for their names already?" Nat asked softly. "Matthew the boy and Madison the girl," Loki replied proudly before he laid them both in their beds. 

"Those are some beautiful names," Nat said smiling. "I'm an uncle now. I can't believe it." Thor said happily as he stroked Madison's arm softly. "If you two need some free time. I'll watch after them both whenever you want." Thor said smiling. "No worries, I'll help him," Nat whispered towards me and I began to laugh softly. "Thank you but for now I need to sleep a bit," I said yawning. "Just call us if you or my sweet little ones need anything," Thor said happily. "We will," Loki said amused as Thor and Nat left the room. Loki laid next to me and we kissed softly before I fall asleep in his arms.

A few hours later I woke up and Loki wasn't at my side. Scared something might have happened I looked towards the beds of our babies and noticed that Loki was sitting there watching our babies smiling. I stood up and walked towards Loki. "Darling, you should rest a little longer," Loki said concerned as he noticed that I was out of bed. "Loki, I'm fine. I promise." I said smiling softly as I sat down next to Loki. "Why aren't you sleeping?" I asked curiously. "I wanted to see our babies. I'm just so happy to have you and them both." Loki replied smiling. "I am happy too," I said as I laid my head on Loki's shoulder and looked towards our babies.
