A moment passed in pure silence, only the birds could be heard. "Well, I work for a fee!" The pair heard which made them immediately bump into each other as they saw Ava come out from standing behind a tree. While Sadie tried to catch her breath with a hand over her heart, "What's your fee Ava?" Finn looked over at the little blonde who smiled cheekily at them. "Honestly, just some candy." Sadie and Finn looked at each other then back at ava, "you have a deal tiny Brown"
The slight squeaking of the swings and giggling consumed the park, they weren't paying much attention to the world around them. They were just being kids again. "Heyo! Ellabella, Millster and Madsta!" hearing that made the girls snap their heads into the direction of the one and only, Louis Partridge. Millie and Ellie immediately jumped off their swings then ran to hug the boy they haven't seen in 2 years. "Louis!!" they squealed as Madi quickly joined the hug.
Once Winona heard another knock on the door, she could only assume that it was Mitchell at the front door and she almost ran to the front door. She pulled the door open and quickly let Mitchell in with a weak smile tugging at her lips. "It's nice to see you again today honey" Winona practically ran into his embrace and finally she felt a wave of peace set over her. "I'll tell my girls tonight.. then we should have a family dinner with my girls and your boys" Mitchell smiled and gently kissed the top of her head, "this might be pushing it but how about we do both tonight? My boys are tired of my cooking."
The little blonde walked with Finn and Sadie over to the park as a goofy smile tugged at the corner of her lips. It didn't take long for Ellie to notice Finn and she looked at louis with a smile, "I'll be right back loser!" She hummed as she ran over to finn and practically jumped into his arms. "Hi my little mush!" Finn smiled as he spun Ellie around and Millie looked at Louis then pretended to gag before looking back at what's going on in front of them. "Hey, I hate to be this sister but.. y'all are cute we know this. I just don't want this to be the only thing in my line of sight" Millie laughed as Louis high-fived her.
"That sounds like a grand idea, you go get the boys ready and I'll get stuff going. Call me when you are heading over again alright?" Winona smiled as Mitchell nodded and kissed her forehead gently then gave her a tight hug before playfully bowing and leaving the house he'd been in for almost an hour at this point. Once the door closed she locked it and ran upstairs to get ready for the meeting of families that same night.
They talked for a while until Ava smiled up at Finn who gave her a playful wink and before anyone knew it, Ava took off skipping with a happy head nod. "Millie likes Sadie! Millie likes Sadie!" Millie's eyes went wide as she looked at everyone around her who had equally as wide eyes, especially Ellie who had no idea. "Heh.. kids you know I'm just going to go get some hot chocolate I'll be right-" Millie ran off as Louis looked over at the others with a weak smile and Sadie ran off after her. "Millie wait!"
Louis looked over at Finn and cleared his throat as Ellie who was once in his arms stood right next to him concerned as Ava came back then stood next to Madi. "Well, uh.. awkward timing but I'm Louis Partridge, Millie and Ellie's best friend. You must be Finn? Ellie talks about you loads" Finn smiled as he looked down at Ellie who blushed and stepped on Louis' foot. "Yeah I'm Finn. Damn, why are all of you British?" Finn chuckled as Louis laughed himself and playfully tapped his chin. "I don't know, I guess it's a fun coincidence. My mum has known theirs since they were kids."
The front door creaked open as the sound of laughter consumed the whole house and it only seemed to stop when the front door closed. Mitchell could see his two sons laying on the couch with goofy grins on their faces. "Hey boys! Do you want to come with me to dinner? No I'm not cooking in the slightest if you were wondering" he chuckled as his kids both lit up and nodded eagerly. "Hell yes dad! When should we get ready?! Wait, is it a restaurant?" Mitchell looked at Joe and shook his head, "no my girlfriend is making us dinner."
She only stopped running when her knees gave out and a quiet sob escaped her lips as she rested her head against the fabric of her jeans in complete defeat. "Damn brownie! You can run" Sadie said out of breath as she rested against a tree close by them and collected herself. "thanks.. why did you come after me?" Millie looked up at Sadie with tears filling her eyes which broke the redheads heart into a million pieces. "because i wanted to say that i like you too.. like a fucking lot actually Mill" "wait.. really?" Sadie kneeled down next to her and cupped her face into her palms with a little smile. "Yes, i absolutely mean it."
A piece of hair was tucked behind Millie's ear and they smiled at each other, "so, miss mill.. would you like to go on a date with me and be my girlfriend?" Millie smiled goofily as she nodded and kissed her cheek multiple times. "Yes strawberry girl! Oh my goodness yes" Millie squealed as she tackled Sadie into the tightest hug ever imagined and Sadie just picked her up with ease then walked back over to the others. Madi smiled at them and clapped alongside Finn who hugged them both. "Oh! Louis, this is Sadie and Sadie that's Louis. One of my oldest best friends" "it's nice to meet you, Sadie."
Before they all went their separate ways, Millie stole Sadie's sweatshirt and sat down in the golf cart. "Bye strawberry girl! Bye Wolfy" Millie giggled as Ellie playfully nudged her and rolled her eyes. The brown siblings hopped in the golf cart with Louis sitting in the last free seat and they drove off while Sadie and Finn walked back home. Once the golf cart was parked in the garage, the sisters climbed out of the cart and Louis gave them all a hug before running home which wasn't all that far away.
Ellie opened the front door to see their mother in the kitchen cooking and they all filed into the house a bit confused. "Mum, we love you so much but why are you in fancy clothes and cooking dinner?" Millie asked as Ava and Madi ran into the living room with giggles escaping their lips. "We are having guests over for dinner so go get ready! I'm also talking to you Madi and Ava, go get dressed and ready." The girls were absolutely confused but they did as they were told then came back and sat down on the couch.
"Boys! Are you ready to go?" Mitchell laughed as his back against the stairs and picked up the phone to call Winona as she instructed. "Hey, what's up" Winona laughed and stirred what she was making as she scratched her cheek gently. "We are on the way! Be prepared, my boys are loud and crazy. I'm sorry if they try to entertain us." Winona laughed as she looked over at her girls who were cracking jokes and giggling. "Oh trust me, as soon as your boys start cracking jokes they will join in right away. Remember, I have a set of twins then two girls who are 2 years apart." "I got it hun! I'll see you soon"
