The twins weren't ones to talk about love. It just wasn't what they did. When they had a crush on someone, they'd inform the other but that was about it. Ellie liked the boys who would let her be her authentic self and treated her well. She wanted someone she could lay on while she played games and vise versa. Millie wanted whoever she liked to be kindhearted goofballs who'd skate with her and give her random hugs. Today was Saturday and the twins had slept in until noon because the day before was absolutely exhausting.
Now they sat on Ellie's bed with Millie's laptop rested on a owl lap pad while Hulu played a murder documentary. It was always something they got drawn into while they ate snacks and they loved talking about their theories about what happened. There was a gentle knock at their room door and they both just hummed as a come in response. "What are you two watching?" The person asked and without looking up from her laptop, Millie says absent mindedly "a murder documentary" "ah, i was going to ask if you two wanted to get ice cream with Madi, Ava, Nona and I"
When the twins heard that they both snapped their focus to Emma who stood at the door way with a smile. "Hell yes emi!" Millie giggled as Ellie paused the documentary and shut the laptop. "Cmon let's get into the car then we are about to leave!" The girls quickly threw on their slide on converses and ran out of the room with Emma on their tail. Emma locked the house door behind them and jumped into Winonas car. The twins sat next to each other, Madi sat next to Ava and Emma sat up front with Winona.
Sadie sat with Finn at a table, work being scattered around them. Sadie's work was mostly drawings of the same girl and butterflies while Finn's work was just homework he didn't finish yesterday. They never could focus when they went to each other's house to work. There was always something distracting them like Lilia, his dad David or Sadie's mom who checked in on them every 15 minutes. So now they took turns picking places to go that wouldn't be as distracting.
The family of 6 girls unbuckled their seatbelts and got out of the car. The sign on the ice cream shop read, "Sweets on sweets and ice cream treats". Once they walked in, they went over to the counter and looked at all the choices from ice cream that they could get. "Hi, I'm Maya welcome to Sweets on sweets and ice cream treats! How can I help you all today?" "Hi! I'd like vanilla with sprinkles for me.. Emma what would you like?" "That's a hard choice to make but um I'd take coffee chip please! Thank you" Maya smiled as she nodded and she got Winona alongside Emma's ice cream done then handed it to them.
"Is that all you want for today?" Maya asked politely as Winona laughed quietly to herself then responded, "no, my four girls haven't picked out what they wanted yet". Maya seemed to laugh it off as she looked at the four girl's without ice cream in hand. Ava had whispered her ice cream that she wanted to Millie and she nodded. "My baby sister would like chocolate chip and I'll have fudge please" Millie smiled as a boy with ridiculously curly hair came up to Maya and helped her give the girls their ice cream. "Oh I'll have bubblegum with sprinkles please" Madi said politely as she folded her hands together. "And I'll get chocolate with sprinkles please" Ellie smiled as she messed up Millie's hair playfully.
When they all got their ice cream, they sat down at a booth that could fit all six of them. The girls were happily eating their ice cream and occasionally joked around with giggles escaping their lips. Finn had heard Ellie's voice or what he thought was her voice and he looked at Sadie then over at the direction of where he heard her voice. "What are you doing Wolfhard? You are being very let's say weird" Sadie pushed some of her strawberry hair out of her face as finn playfully rolled his eyes. "I heard Ellie's voice I swear I did"
Sadie tilted her head before she heard Millie's voice and she did the same thing Finn had just done. "See Sink? I'm not being crazy!" "Yeah, yeah shush it goober." Sadie's eyes glossed over the restaurant as a whole before her eyes landed on the family then she sat back down in her chair. "I found mill and el, i don't think we should interrupt them because they seemed to be with family" Finn looked at Sadie a bit confused and tilted his head. "Is it extended family?" Sadie pushed his face and slightly rolled her eyes. "I don't know that! Millie and Ellie will tell us about their family when they want."
Millie had gotten up from the table to grab napkins for Ava who had chocolate chip ice cream all around her cheeks and nose. She grabbed some napkins and wasn't paying much attention to what was going on before she saw Sadie's bright red hair. She decided before she went back to the table to just surprise the girl. Millie quietly snuck over to the table that she was at and gently placed her hands over Sadie's eyes as Finn bit back a laugh. "Finn, I swear I will bitch slap you if you don't get your hands off of my eyes!" Finn chuckled as Millie had a smile tugging at her lips. "I hope you wouldn't bitch slap me strawberry girl"
Sadie heard her voice and immediately jumped up then pulled Millie into a tight hug. "Mill! Hi! No I won't dare lay a hand on you mill" Millie giggled as she hugged her back, when they let go of each other Millie had an idea. "Come with me, oh and Finn you can come too! Ellie would be happy to see you." Sadie was confused on what Millie was thinking but nonetheless both of them followed her to see what could occur next.
