"Well congratulations Sadie, you are officially the last one to know!" -
The sounds of the rich guitar fill the room. She was laying off the edge of her bed as she made eye contact with her best friend who sat in her pillow corner which was only a few feet away from her. "Hey, Wolfhard" Sadie hummed out as Finn stopped playing his guitar and looked up at her with a hum. "How do you know if you really like someone? Like a love interest?" God, Sadie thought, I cannot believe I'm asking Finn for love advice.
Of course, Finn looked at her and wiggled his eyebrows which he knew Sadie hated with everything, especially when she's asking for advice. "Are you going to be helpful or annoying" Sadie huffed as she sat up on her bed and held the pillow to her chest. "Okay okay I'm done! Sadie, i promise you'll know. Trust your mind and trust me that shit will hit you like an absolute fucking truck. If it finally sets in, inform good ole finnie. Please don't forget to say it loud and proud"
The softness of the couch consumed the girls sitting on it, one was drawn into a documentary about the earth and the other was reading a book silently. They could hear Ellie and Ava upstairs who decided to have a dance party which they were invited to but they politely declined. Winona had just left with Emma to take her to the airport which made them all upset while the twins watched the girls.
Millie only closed her book when she heard her name being called by Ava so she got up to go see what ava wanted and quickly ran upstairs. She picked up Ava and spun her around with a laugh escaping her lips. "Now, what is it avey avey?" Ava looked up at her but Millie could tell that her gaze flickered between her and Ellie. "Ellie has a crush on a boy!" Ava giggled as she ran away from Ellie who was already chasing after her and Millie walked slowly behind them. "It's finnnnn" Ava squealed as she kept running around the house and when Millie heard that, she started running after them.
"Eleanora Brown! Why didn't you tell me?!" Millie shouted after the girls running but she ultimately stopped when there was a knock at the door and she left the girls who were still running. "Hi- oh! Sadie" Millie giggled and pulled her into a tight hug. Sadie was quick to hug her back as she heard Ava giggling while almost screaming around the house, "Ellie likes Finn, Ellie likes Finn!" Even though the family was almost always extremely chaotic, Sadie loved it. There was always something new going on. "I hope you don't mind that I brought-" Sadie only started when Ava went outside then bumped into Finn and she looked up at him with a gasp.
"You are one tall dude! You must be Finn, I'm Ava Brown! hold on, Ellie! He's hereee" Ava giggled teasingly and gave him a hug on his legs where she could only truly reach on the almost 6'0 tall boy. "Oh- um Hi Finn.. I wasn't expecting either of you.. Come in come in" Ellie nervously rushed as Sadie and Millie almost moved as a unit to the couch then plopped down next to Madi. "It's nice to see you again Sadie."
Ellie and Finn almost awkwardly stood at the front of the house together. Ellie didn't know how to ask him if he heard her little sister yelling that she liked him around the house. Finn could almost sense what she was thinking but being him, he was going to do it his way. So, he looked at her with a smile tugging at his lips and whispered in her ear, "to go off of what Ava said, I'd have to admit i like you too" With that, Finn pulled back and walked away to find his best friend who was with Millie in a tight hug pile on the couch. "Three inches you two!" Finn chuckled as he playfully glared at Millie and Sadie while Madi laughed.
"Sorry, that was funny- woah! Ellie! You look like a whole ass tomato!" Madi smiled as she paused the tv and Millie almost immediately caught on which made a little gasp escape her lips. "oh my god! Finn likes Ellie!" Millie squealed as she got up and hugged Ellie who shoved her face into the croak of her neck. "Go Ellie! Go Finn!" Sadie laughed as Finn flicked her and she stuck her tongue out at him. "No hurting Mills girl Wolfhard" Ellie said teasingly as Millie pushed her face and sat back down next to Madi before Ava climbed into her lap.
Millie smiled as she looked at Finn who was holding Ellie in his grasp with the goofiest smile on his face. "Aw, the cutest couple ever" Millie playfully teased absolutely knowing that neither of them had made anything official which caused both of them to go bright red. "Wait.. doesn't miwwie like-" Ava started as Millie gently placed her hand over Ava's lips and nervously laughed. Millie endlessly hoped that no one could hear what Ava was now muffling into her hand. Madi, Ellie and Finn all smirked to each other which made Millie groan to herself.
Finn looked over at Sadie and pulled himself out of Ellie's grasp just to grab Sadie. "We will be right back guys!" Sadie was obviously completely and utterly confused but she walked with Finn anyway who seemed to know where he was going so, she trusted him like always. Millie looked over at Ellie confused but she decided to leave it and play a game with Ava.
"Look, i know that you are still figuring everything out sink but soon you are going to be the absolute last one to notice something right in front of you. You got this, i believe in you. Now I have to go ask a Brit out" Finn almost hummed out as he ran back to where everyone else was and scratched his cheek slowly. Sadie followed behind him with a little laugh as she ran a hand through her hair and sat down next to Millie once again. They could all tell Finn was completely nervous and antsy which freaked the other girls out. Sadie knew what he was doing but even she felt bad just by the way he looked.
Before Finn could open his mouth to say anything, Winona walked in the house and placed all of her stuff onto the cool countertops to see her children alongside their two best friends. "Hey kiddos, do you guys want pizza for dinner?"
