Dragging her leather jacket closer around her body to protect her from the chill, she pushed through the curtains that separated the underground club from the real world. She was immediately greeted by a collection of jumping and dancing bodies all of them swaying to and dancing to the music which beat heavily to the point you could feel the ground shake.
She was wearing a rustic red cami top which had lace trim around the top and sat loosely tucked into a pair of 'wet' leggings and her leather jacket. She had her docs on since the only trainers she owned were bright yellow or her running trainers and they definitely wouldn't fit the outfit. Her hair was left down with the front tucked behind her ears to keep it out of her way and other than the usual crystal necklace she also had a silver circle link necklace and a few rings on. She didn't stand out, which was her intention.
Trailing her eyes over the crowd she soon spotted Allison and Scott arguing in the corner whilst Matt was stood a short distance away simply watching them. She wanted to know what they were arguing about but she also knew it was none of her business; at the same time she still really wanted to know.
Walking down the stairs, she headed over to where Allison was as Scott left her alone, "are you alright?" She called over the music and Allison pressed her lips together giving a nod.
"Yeah, course," she assured.
"If you need me I'll be somewhere in that," Lena added on as she pointed to the dancing crowd.
The moment she emerged into the crowd it felt like the last year never happened. Like the world was nothing but dancing and having fun and for a moment she forgot about the events of the past few days. No one tried to kill her, no one was telling her that she should be dead or a werewolf, her mother didn't have some great secret, her father wasn't in on that secret, and they didn't move all the way across the world. Instead, she was simply existing and jumping and dancing around having fun and a good time.
Kind of.
She was right in thinking these things weren't that fun when you didn't have any friends.
Glancing to the side, she spotted Erica and Isaac and Jackson in the crowd. The three were dancing together and if she didn't know any better she'd say all three of them were going home that night together for some secret activities. Both Isaac and Jackson seemed to be pressing themselves against Erica who was in between them and Isaac looked up shifting his eyes through the crowd and despite the hundred people in the room he decided to meet her eyes.
He had the usual smirk plastered on his face except for this time it was almost as if he was inviting her to join them. Either that or bragging about the situation he was in. Fighting back the scoff, she rolled her eyes before turning away from them and instead focusing on the music instead.
If spending the past two years getting drunk in the fields with her friends had taught her anything it was that she was actually a good dancer, or not good but she knew how to dance to the music. That didn't mean she didn't enjoy dancing like an idiot when she was in the privacy of her own home.
Feeling someone press against her back and hands fall on her waist she moved her head in time with the music as to not look startled and she spotted one of the boys from the lacrosse team behind her. She forgot about the strange tradition of touching people you don't know. She hated that tradition and yet in this instance she didn't actually care and instead continued to dance with him.
For the rest of the song they continued to dance, she didn't look at anything else as she was too engrossed in the sound and her own actions. She was also conscious not to step in any sick or anything (it was one of her biggest fears).
