Isaac wasn't in school. It was the next day. In fact, no one had been in school except for Lena but even then she felt the need to leave. They were all planning what to do next and where they should go and what their next move should be. Her thoughts were on Isaac though. Lydia told her that she wasn't with the rest of them and so he was simply on his own and she knew that he'd been close to Boyd.

Listening to the beat of the music through her earphones (footloose by Kenny Loggins an old favourite which she regularly liked to dance to in her free time and she's hoped it would cheer her up or at the very least distract her) she walked down the streets from the school towards her home. It was about a forty-minute walk which wasn't too bad but annoying when your thoughts were preoccupied.

Seeing a familiar face on the other side of the road, she checked both ways before crossing and pulling out her earphones, "Scott," she called out and he glanced back at her to see what she wanted, "is Isaac staying with ye?" She asked and he nodded, "is he...is he okay?"

"I don't really know," he admitted scratching the back of his head. He hadn't even thought to ask.

Her brows furrowed slightly before she glanced to the side in thought. Swallowing the panic which was growing she glanced back at him, "could I go see him?"

"Of course," he gave her the address and told her that his mother would probably be the one to answer the door before she continued on her way.

Staring up at the house, she brought the sleeve of her jumper down over her hand and knocked on it. Stepping back, her eyes scaled the entirety of the building in an effort to see if anyone was in and it didn't take long for the door to open.

As Scott had said, Melissa was the one to open the door, "Lena right?" She asked, and Lena froze as she tried to think of what to say to that, "Scott told me that you were on your way. Go right on up," she said and Lena nodded taking off her shoes before she went up the stairs so slowly as if in fear a great monster would jump out at her.

Or perhaps it was worry that was keeping her back and holding tightly onto the back of her.

The door was open and she could see Isaac sat on the bed facing the opposite wall so she could only see the back of him. His clothes were the same ones from yesterday and the way his shoulders were slouched so lazily she knew something was wrong. His bed was perfectly made and there was no sign of someone sleeping in it. She was surprised it was made; she herself only made her bed once a week when she changed the covers. After that she just let it sit naturally because she could never be bothered.

"You should be with the others trying to work out this thing," he spat and her heart fell as she heard it. There was so much spite and anger in his voice but she knew it wasn't directed at her.

"I wanted to be with you," she countered, "that is...if you'll have me here," she added on and he gave it a few moments of contemplation before he nodded. Walking into the room, she stepped around the bed so that she could see his face. Tears of rage and loss fell down his cheeks and for another moment she had to remember that it wasn't her place to mourn. She wasn't mourning Boyd, she didn't care about him on a deep level because she never knew him. Instead, she was mourning his lack of happiness and the pain that he was going through.

"Come to tell me that you're sorry. That he was a good person," he hissed.

Pressing her lips together, she shook her head trying to fight the tears which were burning her own eyes, "no," she whispered.

"I can'-I..." he stopped looking down as the tears began to run down his cheeks faster, "I can't do this anymore," he cried out and her soul broke as she reached out to take his face in her hands.
