"All right, since inertia is a subject of which you all know plenty, why don't we start with "momentum?"" Harris asked as he looked over the class. Scott and Isaac weren't listening as they were thinking about the dead body and the twins. Lena wasn't listening because she was still thinking about Allison. Maybe she should apologise, but then at the same time, she felt like she wasn't even wrong.
It had been about two hours since the body had been found. They were all changed with Lena wearing a dusty red wrap dress which had short sleeves and the tie's wrapped around her waist a couple of times since they were manufactured a strangely long length. She had her doc's on and her hair had been taken out of the messy ponytail and instead simply left down with a bandana being used as a headband.
"They're here for a reason," Isaac muttered to Scott.
"Give me a chance to figure it out before you do anything. Okay?" Scott muttered back but Isaac was still filled with so much rage, "Isaac."
"Danny...what do we know about momentum?" Harris asked turning to look at the class.
"It's the product of mass and velocity. The more massive something is, the faster it's going."
Maybe she should have just kept her mouth shut, although the more she thought about it she really was just a very rude person and filled with so much hate. Sitting upright in her chair, she brought her hand to the back of her head and clutched onto some of the hair at the scalp. With each little tug, some of the thoughts would leave her mind but still, she needed to go on another run. To move, to breathe, to just be able to think.
"Mr Harris, can I use the bathroom. Please?" Isaac asked and Harris nodded dismissively causing Isaac to bolt up and leave.
"I have to go to the bathroom, too." Scott said but Mr Harris didn't care.
"One at a time."
"But, I really have to go. Like, medical-emergency-have-to-go."
"Mr. McCall, if your bladder suddenly exploded and urine began pouring from every orifice, I would still respond, "One at a time."" Harris said and Lena stopped thinking about her own problems as she glanced up at him with a disgusted face, "Is that enough hyperbole for you, or would you like me to come up with something more vivid?"
"No...no, that's pretty good..." Scott trailed off.
It was barely a minute later when they heard a cry of pain and Harris walked into the hallway along with the rest of the class. Isaac was stood in front of the twins with Ethan being covered in blood. "What is this? What's going on?" Harris asked as Danny raced over to Ethan.
"You all right?"
"Uh, he just... he just came at me!"
"Isaac, what the hell did you do?" Harris asked as he looked over at the boy.

Reaching up into her locker, she placed the books that she didn't need in it before pulling out the blue lace agate crystal which she'd bought right before last years winter formal. That felt so long ago now. Like she'd always known about the supernatural and all of the times where she didn't know was simply a fever dream.
"Do you wanna hang tonight?" A voice asked from beside her and she narrowed her eyes looking over to Aiden who was stood beside her leaning against the locker. He was so close that she could smell him and she kind of wanted to tell him to step outside of her personal space bubble.
"Nope. I'm busy."
"I could help you-"
"If your goal is to get into my knickers so that you have some leverage over the pack then you're better off trying it on Lydia," she countered and Aiden's brows furrowed as he looked across to where the strawberry blonde was, "she's currently looking for a distraction and actually likes the look of you."
"You don't like the look of me?"
"You're not my type."
"I'm everyone's type," he scoffed.
"Lorenzo De'Medici is my type...are you him? No. No you are not...and Jason Momoa...and Emilia Clarke...you're not them," she said as she glanced him up and down, "so please clear off."
"Why don't you like me?"
Not being able to shake him she sighed before turning to look at him with a fake smile, "because I am a raging pseudo-feminist and I don't like men," she said before turning and walking away from him. That was a lie. She was a feminist and she didn't hate men but she did hate being accosted by random werewolves.
Shrugging the disgust off of her shoulders she continued to walk away until she spotted both Isaac and Scott, "what are you pair doing?" She asked.
"Don't let it bother you. It's just lunchtime detention," Scott reminded Isaac not answering Lena's question, "If all they want right now is to piss you off, then don't give in. They're just trying to get to you."
"It's not just me," Isaac pointed out as he looked over to Lena, "he was what did you call it tryna get into her knickers so that they could have some leverage over the pack," he said with his fake British accent.
"Well, the fact we're not shaggin' in coach's room right now tells you all you need to know," she scoffed, "he's with Lydia now anyway."
Scott and Isaac turned around to look at the girl who was speaking to Aiden and actually 'falling' for his charm. They all knew that Lydia could handle herself but it didn't make it any easier for Scott to watch.
Isaac began to smirk as he looked back at Scott, "now they're getting to you."
"Why the hell were you listenin' to my conversation?" Lena asked as she looked over at Isaac.
"Well...." he began, trying to conjure up a lie.
"Stop it," she scoffed, "no listening into my conversations, weirdo," she added on before turning around about to leave but she soon had a different idea as she turned back to look at them, "what if we mess with them?"
"How?"
"Easy, get them there detentions...suspensions...anything," she mused.
"I don't know how to do that," Scott said and Lena began to smirk as she thought about it.
"I have a plan," she said beneath her grin her voice light and filled with so much mischief, "you know about bikes...don't you?" She asked Scott and he frowned confused whilst Isaac caught onto her message.
"You want to mess with them as they've done us?" He asked, and she nodded. "I mean...can't hurt."
"Who needs murder when you've got annoying habits," she giggled rubbing her hands together in mischief.
It was after lunch when she was stood outside with Isaac sat on a motorbike right beside her, "how long is this gonna take?" He asked and she glanced at him still with a cheeky glee hiding within her.
"Okay, pull back with your left hand," she said holding onto the bars of the bike with him to show him, "kick down to put it in gear. Front brake. Throttle. Back brake for stopping..." as she looked up she realised how close she was to Isaac and for a moment it felt like they were back at the start.
Everything felt a little off balance. Meeting his eyes, she froze pressing her lips together as she tried to think of the words she was supposed to say next. What even words? "And don't crash," she finalised, clearing her throat and pulling away.
"Yeah, been there, done that..." He added on.
"So wait until you hear the cue," she added on stepping back and he nodded his eyes trailing over her as she headed back into the school.
She made it into class just in time and took a seat beside Scott who was next to the twins. She brought her bag onto her lap still holding her mischievous smile, it was hard to hide her merriment as she continued to get on with the day whilst the twins were looking over at Scott and Lena suspiciously.
"Okay, everyone. I know this is the last class of the day... To be honest, I want to get out of here, too," Miss Blake admitted.
Lena reached into her bag and pulled out some piece of machinery and set it down on Scott's table causing the twins to look over, "that looks kind of important," Scott said innocently just as she reached into her bag and pulled out another thing.
"Don't suppose you could tell us what this does?" She asked waving it around slightly.
Hearing the sound of a motorbike outside, Aiden's head flicked to the hallway, "Wait, Aiden, don't!" Ethan tried but it was too late as he bolted up from the class and raced outside.
Miss Blake watched it confused.
The rumbling of the motorbike echoed throughout the human's ears and everyone bolted from their chair and ran outside to see what was happening. Isaac was stood beside the wall and both Scott and Lena ran over to him whilst Miss Blake looked over at Aiden who had his hands on the motorbike.
"You have got to be kidding me! You realise this is going to result in a suspension?"
The twins both looked to the three who were all gloating in the corner. Lena glanced up at Isaac with her smile, "good job not crashin'," she mused causing him to roll his eyes out of amusement.

Walking up the stairs to her bedroom she ignored the sound of her father's voice, "Lena, you're going to have to talk to me at some point-" he began, running up the stairs behind her but as she got into her room she held out her hand and just like that the door shut behind her. She did not have to touch it. A single wave of the hand and the door shut on its own.
It made her wonder how she ever managed to survive without this power in the first place.
How much had everything changed and it had barely even been a year?
Picking up a candle from the side of the room she placed it down on the floor and sat down with it. It was one thing having power but being able to use it and control it was another - another thing which she desperately needed to be able to do. Pressing her lips together, she held her hand over the candle and closed her eyes for a brief second. "Ignis," she said, but nothing happened.
Chewing on the inside of her lip, she took in a deep breath and tried again but still, nothing happened. Her heart sank into her stomach and it became another irritation.
There were so many irritations that had been building up throughout the year. The lying, the bickering, the scares. Her father, Allison, and now the twins. It was like every time there was a moment of peace and happiness something always went wrong.
Was it her?
Maybe things weren't actually going wrong and maybe she was just making it happen to herself. Gritting her teeth out of annoyance, she slammed her hand down on the floor with a groan of frustration but as she did heat echoed throughout the room. Frowning, she whirled her head around to see the wall on fire.
"Shit," she muttered, grabbing onto a towel and whacking at it until finally, the fire died down. Now there was nothing but a charred mark on the wall.
The fire alarm was next to sound throughout the house.
Closing her eyes, she allowed her head to fall back as she tried to ignore the new annoyance.
"Lena? What have you done?" Rob's voice called out as he charged up the stairs throwing open the door only to see the mark on the wall, "what did you do?" His voice sounded so accusatory and it made her want to scream.
"Well, I didn't do it on purpose!" She snapped back, and he sighed before heading out into the hallway to turn the fire alarm off.
Steve soon ran into the room and she flopped down onto the floor allowing him to sit and curl up onto her lap. This magic stuff was hard.
Bringing her hand down to his head, she scratched at it and pet it so gently in hopes that he'd stay with her forever. He was a good cat.
"Maybe we should find you some help. I'm sure Deaton knows-"
"I don't care," she cut in drolly and he sighed bringing his hand up to his forehead.
"You're going to have to forgive me at some point, Lena."
"You and mum lied to me for sixteen years," she reminded, "and would have continued to do so had I not been thrown into the supernatural world. There is no reason why I should forgive you," she countered.
"Lena-"
She flicked her hand slamming the door shut once more. Bringing her hand up to her neck, she gently rubbed at it as if it would soothe the ever-growing anger inside of her before she grabbed onto her crystal necklace and yanked it from her neck. The rope broke as it did but she couldn't bring herself to care.
Her mother had lied to her for sixteen years and she was supposed to just ignore that.
