Running through the forest, they both leapt over the logs and roots which were in the way of their path. Hearts beat and thundered through their senses and it was getting harder to breathe. Everything was growing restricted and they knew they wouldn't be able to keep going much longer. Everything was in the way of their path and the fear of the other catching up to them was growing to be overwhelming.

Hearing the sound of Isaac crying out in pain, she skidded to a stop and looked behind her to see what was going on. "What is it?" She asked, stepping back to him. He was bent over with his arm on his leg as if it was screeching out in pain. As she got close enough he looked up with a smirk.

"Gotcha," he mused before fleeing.

"Hey wait no, that's cheating!" She called out after him, beginning to run herself.

The pair were doing a morning run that was a race and of course, rules had been put in place so that Isaac couldn't use his wolf powers nor could she use any magic to slow him down (as long as he was going at the human pace). It had become a regular practice that they did more often than not with their favourite time to be the Monday morning before school. Not only was it a good wake up and something healthy but it was just a nice way to start the week. However, this current moment was Monday after school since Isaac had overslept (another common occurrence).

She could faintly hear him laughing from his few steps ahead and he soon crossed the imaginary finish line. She crossed it herself after a ten-second delay and she rolled her eyes as she stopped. "You absolute prick!" She scoffed, and he laughed again stretching out.

"It's not my fault you're slow, love," he mused and she put her hands on her hips as she stared at him annoyed.

"Slow? I would have won had you not pretended to be injured," she reminded.

The pair began to walk back to the entrance of the forest and even though he probably could have run the track they did three times she was technically only human and would have rathered not do that.

He listened out for a moment before he looked to the side, "do you hear that?"

"Hear what?" She asked, but she didn't get a response as he began to run off and she stared after him confused before following albeit much slower as he was now using his werewolf speed. As she got there she saw Allison release an arrow and not knowing whether Isaac would make it in time she held out her hand, "frigidus," she shouted and the arrow froze mid-air barely an inch away from Lydia's face.

Allison snapped into reality and she dropped the bow her hands moving to cover her mouth as Isaac grabbed onto the arrow and pulled it away from Lydia, "oh, my god! Oh, my god! Lydia!" Allison cried out.

Isaac looked back to Lena who stopped not being bothered to get any closer than necessary.

It was the next day. They were sat on the benches at lunch and since it was sunny, Lena wasn't actually sat on the bench but instead on the floor with her legs and arms held out strangely so that not one of them was covered by a shadow although her legs were pressed together since she was wearing a skirt. Her outfit consisted of a white t-shirt, a blue floral skirt, and a pair of white trainers and her hair was thrown up into a bun with a bandana around acting as a headband which was purely for decoration and not practical uses.

Allison, Lydia, Isaac, Scott, and Stiles were the ones on the bench.

"Okay, so-- what happens to a person who has a near-death experience and comes out of it seeing things?" Scott asked.
