"You really don't think we should call Scott?" Isaac asked nervously as they looked at the electric substation in front of them. The three were sat in the car in order to find the next 'sacrifice'. Could it actually be considered a sacrifice when there was no cause of it though? Much like when Francesco de Pazzi and his collection of supporters murdered Guiliano de Medici and hoped to murder Lorenzo, they might have called it a sacrifice for the greater good and yet what really classified anything as a sacrifice? Did Emily Davidson sacrifice herself when she threw herself in front of the king's horse in 1913, even though evidence suggested she had no intention of dying that day? There was a fine line between sacrificial death and just death and yet no one seemed to be able to distinguish it.
So was this sacrifice or murder? Who got the right to determine which was which?
"Stay behind me and stay quiet," Allison ordered, climbing out of the car and Lena glanced over to Isaac from the back seat.
"You heard the woman," she added on, as she too got out of the car.
Isaac took a moment as he leant his head back, "Oh, this is so not gonna end well..." Isaac drawled before following after them.
As they were walking through, Lena's eyes flickered from each corner whilst dragging her sleeves over her hands in an effort to keep them warm. She could see no sign of danger but she knew that there was very rarely actually a sign.
"FYI, if your dad tries to kill me, I'm gonna defend myself."
"If my dad tries to kill you, you'll be dead."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence..." Isaac scoffed before he sensed something and he grabbed onto Lena's jacket to hold her in place whilst he flicked his head to the side. Frowning, she scoffed before slapping his hand away out of fear he was going to stretch it, "I smell blood," he admitted.
"Where?" Allison asked from a couple of steps ahead, "what direction?"
"I don't know... I'm not that good at this, yet..." he turned his head in the suspected direction, "but I think it's..."
Allison head already begone running in that direction, "Allison, wait, no!" Lena shouted but it was too late as she was already gone. Both Lena and Isaac followed after her but as they caught up Allison noticed a creature in front of another. Allison pulled out her weapons about to leap forward, "Allison, don't!"
"GET DOWN!" A voice called out, and the three teens looked up as Argent began shooting at the creature and Allison was the first to drop to the floor whilst Isaac fell down dragging Lena with him. She couldn't see nor sense anything from the weight of Isaac on top of her, his arm over her head with his free one over his own. "Help him!" He called again, and Allison and Isaac got up with Lena slowly following behind.
It felt like she was trapped moving in slow motion and everyone else was running twice the usual speed.
"That's Mr. Westover," Allison said and Lena's face scrunched up whilst Argent ran over.
"Who?"
"It's out history teacher," Isaac muttered and her mouth made the shape of an o as she nodded in understanding.
"We were wrong. It's not guardians, as in law enforcement... it's philosophers...."
"You should probably call Stiles," Lena added on.
"Why don't you call Stiles?"
"I don't have his number."
"Why don't you have his number?" Allison asked as she looked over to her now friend again.
