Chapter Forty-Nine

The immortals were on their way home until Demetrius got a little bit hungry and then he noticed a girl walking to her car so he followed her. Just before she could do anything he smashed her again against the window and started feeding. "That was a bit rough," Iris said "drink and stop complaining," Demetrius said "I'm not hungry right now. I think I lost my appetite" "more for me then" "good. I'll meet you back at the house" "you're not leaving me" "alright fine. Hurry up". Demetrius kept feeding from the girl until she punched him in the face hard enough for him to let go of her. As soon as the powerful immortal let go of the girl she ran deep into the woods and that's where she bumped into another girl so she asked for help. "Woah calm down. Tell me what's going on," Gabrielle said "there are these two people after me," the girl said "I won't let them hurt you. Follow me" "thank you so much. What's your name" "my name is Gabrielle Sanchez". While they were walking through the woods Gabrielle could see how scared the girl was so she grabbed her. Right after she did that she started humming which calmed down the girl and made her more at peace. Once she was calm Gabrielle stopped humming and they both continued walking through the woods. Fifteen minutes later and the two girls were finally out of the woods s Gabrielle could bring her somewhere safe. Before they could go into the car Demetrius showed up and began pain inflicting the girl until she died. The moment she died Gabrielle turned around and started pain inflicting the two immortals that were in front of her. "You're a psychic" Demetrius smiled "leave me alone or I'll make you regret it," Gabrielle said "do you not know who we are. We're the immortals" "is that supposed to scare me" "it's supposed to make you run". Instead of running away Gabrielle raised a hand and got ready to hurt them but Demetrius was one step ahead of her. Just before she could hurt them he stabbed her arm and began feeding but after a couple of minutes, she escaped.

The Next Day

When everybody finally woke up they got dressed and then went into the kitchen to grab some breakfast and talk for a little while. The moment they walked into the kitchen someone knocked on the door so Michael let his two friends inside the house. "Good morning," said Sean "good morning," said Raul "how did you guys sleep" "so that's how you want to start this conversation" "okay fine. Did you find any way to protect Arianna from the immortals" "no not yet" "alright. Sit". Right after he said that everyone sat down and they started talking about how they could protect Arianna from the two immortals. Five minutes of talking later and Arianna reminded everyone they could stop the immortals by creating her weapon. "We still need their blood and I don't see us getting that any time soon," Michael said "that may be true but it's worth a shot," Arianna said "alright fine we'll work on the weapon. Now how are we going to get their blood" "I don't know". Since everyone was busy talking and eating nobody noticed Jayda rush into the bathroom except Sean. After she threw up she cleaned herself off and opened the bathroom then her boyfriend walked inside. Before Jayda could say anything her boyfriend sat down with her on the bathroom floor so he could ask if she was okay. The two of them kept talking about the babies until Jayda started getting hungry so they left the bathroom. While Jayda was eating her food Sean sat down and talked with his uncle about his upcoming babies. He told him that he was nervous about becoming a father because he doesn't know what to do. "You'll be a great father," Jonah said "no I won't. I was raised for most of my life without one," Sean said "well that's just hurtful because I raised you for most of your life" "you're right. Sorry" "you need to be brave". They kept talking about the babies until someone started banging on the front door which made everyone confused. Everybody looked at each other then Sean opened the door and a girl covered in dirt and blood ran inside.

Once the girl walked inside she closed the door behind her and then ran around the living room to close the windows. As soon as she finished closing all of the windows she fell to her knees so Michael lifted her up and asked what happened. "I was attacked by a boy and a girl. They called themselves the immortals" Gabrielle said "why don't you have a seat and tell us what happened" said Michael "thank you for helping me" "no problem. Why don't you start from the beginning". When Gabrielle finally calmed down she started telling everybody about the girl she saved and how the immortals killed the girl and then tried to kill her too. Everybody sat down on the couch and they all listened to Gabrielle tell them all what happened last night. "Wait a minute what's your name," Sean asked "my name is Gabrielle" she answered "I'm guessing you're a witch" "I'm a psychic" "okay so you attacked two powerful beings and survived" "yeah I did. Why". Right after she said that Sean looked at his friends and family then he told everyone that she could help get their blood. The moment he said that all of them agreed with her and then they went back to talking and planning. While they were talking Jayda helped Gabrielle up and took her into the bathroom to clean herself. Once Gabrielle was clean her new friend took her into an empty room so she could change into something else. Just before the psychic could say anything Jayda left and came back with some clothes. She then handed the psychic the clothes and then she changed into the clothes and thanked Jayda. "Is there anything else you need. I can get anything you want" Jayda said "no I'm fine. Thank you so much for helping me" Gabrielle said "it's what we do. If there's anything you need help with you can ask me" "okay". The moment they finished talking Jayda left the room and went into the living room to talk with everybody. Since everybody was busy talking and planning nobody noticed Michael and Susan go into another room.
