Chapter Thirty-Nine

It was late and quiet one night except for the screams of two vampires that were Noah Nunez and Isabella Rose. While the two of them ran through the darkness while the hunters ran after them with their stakes. "WE CAN'T LET THEM GET AWAY" Ronal yelled "don't yell at us when we're trying to help you," Jackson said "I'm not trying to yell but you guys are slowing me down" "THEN DO THIS YOURSELF" "we're a team". Once they finished talking Maggie rushed over to them and said how Brian and Noah got the vampires. The two boys smiled then rushed into the alleyway where the two injured vampires were trying to crawl away. "Don't try and leave so soon" Ronal said "you don't have to do this" Isabella said "actually I do" "we could help you" "in a way you will be helping me" "please don't do this" "oh shut the hell up" "WAIT. DON'T. PLEASE". Isabella kept crying and screaming until Ronal drove a stake through her heart then he did the same to Noah. After the two vampires turned gray and died Ronal's hunter's mark grew some more until it was complete. Shortly after that happened Samantha showed up and was shocked to finally see Ronal's mark for the first time. Because she could finally see it that meant he really was done and now they could get the cure for immortality. Right before any of the hunters could say something Samantha began talking about Arianna and what to do. She said how now that they have the full hunter's mark they can start searching for the cure but they need Arianna. "Isn't she almost ready" Maggie asked "yes but I'm worried she'll lose control" Samantha answered "who cares if she does" "I like living so I care" "that's a good point" "let's talk about this later" "why" "because we're standing over two dead vampires". Instead of continuing the conversation all of them realized they should go and so they did. All of them walked towards the hunter's van until it was time for them to leave and go home to plan. Before leaving Samantha asked to talk with them tomorrow morning and they said yes then they left.

The Next Day

Sean quickly woke and when he did he noticed that Jayda wasn't lying next to him so he left the room. He walked through the big house until he found his girlfriend in the library with his siblings and friends. "What's going on here," he asked "good morning babe. We're just trying to see what we can find on the hunters" Jayda replied "find anything yet" "only what we already know" "where's Arianna" "kitchen. Just as she said that Arianna walked in with a coffee to wake herself up before having to leave to see the professor. Now that they were all together they could figure out which half would focus on the professor and the rest would focus on the murderous hunters. "I think my siblings and I should focus on Samantha while the rest of you try and stop the hunters," said Michael "how is that fair" Susan asked "Arianna knows more about the professor than you and she's my little sister". All of them kept talking for a little while until they all agreed to listen to Michael and do what they were told. Once they had their tasks half of them began doing research on the hunters while the others talked about the professor. They all planned and talked for about fifteen more minutes until Arianna remembered she needed to meet with Samantha. Right before she could leave and meet the professor Sean asked if she could stay home because it might be dangerous. After he asked that she rolled her eyes just before telling him that she'll be fine and she has to see her. "But what if she's crazy and tries to hurt you," he said "I can protect myself," she said "alright fine but please be careful" "can you stop worrying about me" "okay sorry" "I should go now" "bye" "bye". Then the tribrid said goodbye to everybody else while she walked out the front door and into her car. She started the car and immediately started driving to Pawtucket College to talk with her friend and train. While she was driving she thought about what her brother was saying and it made her a little nervous. Fifteen minutes later and she finally made it to the college so she parked her car and got ready to go in.

She grabbed all of her things including her purse and when she was ready she rushed inside the college. Instead of talking with the receptionist she rushed right by her and got ready to walk into Samantha's office. "It's almost time" she heard someone say in the room "we're so close to getting what we need," the professor said "all we need is Arianna" "we already have her" "I know but she has to finish learning expression" "I'm already on it". Once the tribrid knew they were talking about her she crouched down and kept listening to them talk. They talked about the cure and how after they get it they can get rid of the Mercados and the immortals. "After we get rid of them we can go after the other vampires," Maggie said "don't you think we should be careful," the professor asked "I'm sick of being careful. I want to finish this already" "I think you may be right". When she couldn't stand what they were saying anymore she got ready to burst in but something stopped her. Before she could bust into the office she heard Samantha mention the dead humans and witches. As she was talking about everything Arianna now knew her siblings were right about her all along. Now that she knew the truth she could just go back home and tell everybody but she didn't want to leave yet. The tribrid just crouched back down and continued listening to her friend plan how to kill them all. Four minutes passed by when Arianna couldn't stand hearing her siblings get threatened so she busted in. "I should've known you were lying," she said "oh my god. It's not what it looks like," the professor said "how could you help the hunters. You said they can't be trusted" "please let me explain". Even though she wanted to hear her out she knew she couldn't be trusted she turned away to leave. Right before she could leave she heard Ronal pull out a stake from his pocket causing her to turn around. She used her expression to make wind blow around them and the candle flames grew higher. Before she could lose control she threw him against the wall then quickly sped into her car to go home.
