Chapter Thirty-Eight

All of the witches quickly sat down then their coven leader stood up to start speaking to everybody in her coven. She talked about the death of the twelve council members and how it could be very bad for them. "A very long time ago something like this happened and because of it a new and powerful type of magic was created," the coven leader said "is there anything we can do," one of the members asked "we just have to be on high alert" "alright" "everybody sit". The coven leader continued on talking about everything going on and what they should do until two of the hunters appeared. Right after they showed up they began talking with the coven leader while the rest of the coven watched. "I'm sorry to interrupt you but who are you two," she asked "I'm Noah Flynn and this is my friend Brian Bennett," Noah said "what can I do for you" "not to sound straightforward but we're just the distraction" "wait what do you mean " "I'm sorry". Before anybody could escape the rest of the hunters appeared out of nowhere and they began killing the witches. Maggie snapped two of the witches' necks so they only had to kill ten more of them to complete another part of the expression triangle. She killed two more of the witches then she watched her friends kill a couple more of the coven witches. Once all twelve of the witches were dead it was time for all of them to leave since they completed their task for Samantha. "Now all that's left is the twelve demons," Jackson said "this is all so much effort just for the cure" Brian groaned "it will be worth it when we get rid of Demetrius and Iris" "let's just get out of here to see Samantha" "but what about the bodies" "just leave them" "alright let's go" "okay". When they were ready to leave they quickly rushed away and walked to their van so they could meet with Samantha. They drove in silence then they made it to Pawtucket College where their professor friend was waiting. She rushed over to them and asked if it was done so Maggie stepped forward and said the twelve witches were dead.

The Present

When the Mercados and their friends finally woke up after a long day they walked into the living room to talk and plan. As soon as they were all seated Sean handed his girlfriend some food and then he sat down next to her. "It's good to have you back," Susan said "it's not like I wasn't here" Jayda replied "it kind of like you was" "well now I'm better and less murderous" "I'm happy just to have you back now I won't have to worry about getting killed" "I wouldn't have done that". Because they were busy talking they didn't notice Michael walk away and come back with some food and bourbon. He then handed everybody a glass of bourbon and a plate of food then he sat down and started talking. "Now that Jayda is back she can help stop the hunters," Michael said, "I thought if a vampire kills a hunter they get cursed" Dylan asked "they do which is why I'll be killing them" "but don't we need them to get the cure". The both of them kept talking about everything as the immortal female hybrid watched with a very confused look on her face. Everybody kept on talking and planning but Jayda still didn't know what they all were talking about. Once they were done talking Sean grabbed his girlfriend and walked with her into another room to catch her up to date. Right after they left Arianna started to get a phone call from Samantha so she quickly answered it. "Is everything okay" she asked "yeah I was just wondering if you'll be coming over for some more help" Samantha answered "oh yeah sure I actually have some exciting news" "okay I'll see you soon" "alright goodbye" "okay goodbye". After she hung up the phone her oldest brother began to ask questions about what the professor wanted. Instead of answering she just rolled her eyes before walking upstairs and into her room to get ready. Right after she left Michael and the others walked into the other room to check up on the other couple who were kissing. Just as they walked in Sean and Jayda stopped kissing then the quadbrid started explaining everything to her.

"When you had your humanity off we didn't know what to do so we started looking for the cure to make you a siphoner again" Sean explained "did you ever get the cure," Jayda asked, "we didn't find it yet but we're still looking". The both of them talked for a little while longer about everything until Jayda was finally up to speed. Once she was up to speed they continued planning what to do with the cure and how to get rid of the hunters. Even though Jayda now knew what was going on she still didn't know what to do with all this information. She thought to herself while everybody else talked until she came up with something that involved the cure for immortality. "Can I still take the cure" she asked "wait, are you serious" Sean responded "I love being a vampire but I can't do this forever" "I think I know what you mean" "does this mean I can take the cure" "I just want you to be happy" "so yes" "of course you can". When he said that both of them quickly kissed and hugged each other as everybody else watched and rolled their eyes. Both of them kissed for a little while longer then stopped suddenly when Camille and Melissa knocked on the door. Raul rushed over and opened the door then he kissed his girlfriend and walked with her to the living room. Now that they were all together again it was time to finish planning to figure out what to do with the annoying hunters. Each of them gave some ideas but they couldn't agree on what to do so they kept on planning. "All of this is so frustrating" Michael groaned "I agree but we have to figure out what to do," Susan said "how can we figure out what to do if none of us can agree" "just please relax and calm down". All of them quickly calmed down when Dylan walked in with a big bottle of bourbon and a bunch of empty glasses for them. Everybody quickly grabbed a glass and poured some bourbon just before planning what to do for a little bit more. Most of them came up with ideas and plans while the rest listened and gave some of their feedback.
