𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐋𝐘𝐍'𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄 had faded, the group made their way to the school dance, Brooklyn too excited for her own good.

"Klaus is here remember so keep an eye out, you're the only one who knows what he looks like," Damon whispered to her, intertwining their arms as they walked into the school.

"I know the plan," she said, dragging him to dance.

"I am not dancing," Damon scoffed, walking to the side of the hall.

"Stop being boring," Brooklyn sighed, before being interrupted by one of the performers.

"This is dedicated to Elena, from Klaus,"

The couple's heads snapped up, Brooklyn looking around for Klaus but not seeing him anywhere. Damon made his way over to Alaric, leaving Brooklyn alone on the dance floor.

After a while, he made his way over but only to apologise and then walk over to Elena to dance with her. Brooklyn wasn't too bothered, knowing that Klaus was trying to kill Elena.

"Bonnie, dance with me," Brooklyn sighed, wrapping her arm around her sisters.

"How're you feeling about tonight?" Bonnie asked, nervous to tell Brooklyn that she might die.

"I'm feeling great, honestly, I believe in you, Bon,"

When the song changed, Bonnie walked away when she noticed Damon approaching. The couple danced together before Stefan interrupted, making Brooklyn scoff.

"Alaric!" She yelled, walking over to him as he went to find Bonnie and Elena.

"Brooklyn,"

"Have you seen Bonnie?" she asked, trailing behind him.

"Yes, I'm going to find them, Klaus has Jeremy,"

"What?" Brooklyn muttered, following the man.

The four made their way into the corridor, Brooklyn beside Alaric as the girls followed from behind. When the older Bennett sensed that something was wrong, she reached for Ric's arm before it was grabbed and broken.
