𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃, every day spent with Kai twisting a new story and trying to teach Bonnie magic. However, every day also consisted of Brooklyn and Damon getting closer and closer, almost back to the way they were before, only less corny romance.
Brooklyn was getting to the point where it hurt to talk to him as a friend, she needed more, she needed him back. Damon on the other hand was hitting himself for still being in love with Brooklyn when he was dating Elena. But, as all things do, the hurt came to an end, and in the most relieving way possible.
It had happened while the two were out shopping for groceries. Their hands touched one too many times, they made eye contact far too many times. All of their morals went out the window as they got closer and closer to each other. Damon's hands gripped her waist as their lips met for the first time in almost 3 years. It was euphoric like the universe had been waiting for this moment.
Damon was the first to pull away, not to apologise or say that he couldn't cheat on Elena, he pulled away, rested his forehead on hers and told her that he loved her. At this moment, he couldn't have cared less about Elena, he had the love of his life back.
"And I love you, Damon. I never stopped," Brooklyn replied, pulling him in for a hug as they stood in blissful silence.
After that day, things were looking up, they were getting closer and closer to escaping the prison world and the couple was back to their annoying selves, leaving Bonnie extremely conflicted.
When nightfall came, they made their way underground in preparation for the spell, having killed Kai due to his lack of knowledge of the actual spell. The three were on top of the world, that was until kai interrupted them.
Brooklyn gasped as an arrow went through her abdomen, a tear rolling down her face. She looked at Bonnie with a sad smile, telling her to complete the spell. She wrestled Kai to the ground, allowing time for Bonnie and Damon to go.
"I love you, Damon Salvatore," she whispered before they disappeared, never hearing him say it back.
"Whoops," Kai shrugged, grabbing the pieces of the ascendant.
"Do you have any idea what you have done? I don't have magic either Kai, we're stuck here, for good," Brooklyn sighed, wincing as she tried to stop the bleeding from her stomach.
