𝐈𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 since Brooklyn's death and even when Bonnie became the anchor for the other side, she had seen no sign of her sister. Damon and Elena were now dating but everyone, including Elena, could see that Damon wasn't as happy with her as he was with Brooklyn.
On the other side, Brooklyn had been in Florida, catching up with old friends that had died while attending her old school and after they left. She hadn't set foot in Mystic Falls since she had died, not wanting to watch Damon destroy himself over her death.
For some unknown reason, when the other side started to collapse, Brooklyn found herself in Mystic Falls, wanting to see the people she loved one last time before she got swallowed by the darkness.
"Brooklyn?" Bonnie asked when she saw her sister smiling at her. At her name, Damon's head snapped up, hope in his eyes as he saw the look on Bonnies face.
"Hey little sister," she smiled, tears in her eyes as she looked over at Damon.
"Is she there?" Damon asked Bonnie, the original reason that he had come to see her gone from his mind.
"Yeah, she is," Bonnie smiled, relieved to know that her sister was watching over her. When she looked back, Brooklyn was gone, causing a frown to appear on her face.
"There's your motivation Bonnie," Damon said, storming out of the room.
At the Mystic Grill, Brooklyn sat with Stefan and his friend Lexi as they caught up, Stefan glad to see Brooklyn survived the collapsing of the other side.
"So Damon actually has a heart?" Lexi laughed, enjoying the company of the Bennett girl.
When Liz came into the Grill, along with a Traveller, the conversation between the three stopped.
"She's trying to get the Travellers to gather, they're planning something," Stefan stated, leaving the grill and encouraging the girls to follow him.
"Where the hell is Alaric?" Stefan asked, walking through the school.
"I don't know, maybe he finally found peace," Brooklyn said, trying to comfort the vampire.
"If he did I'm going to be super pissed that he beat me," Lexi added, looking back at Stefan with a smile.
"Why didn't you? If anyone was gonna find peace, it should be you two," Stefan asked, not knowing what life was like on the other side.
