~George POV
-
I wake up in an odd place.
"hello?"
My voice echoes throughout the scene.
It's almost like an alleyway. All I see is pitch black and hard concrete beneath my body. I feel powerless as my bare feet drag across the hard floor.
It feels cold. But there's no air, no wind.
"hello?!"
I scream louder than before.
I stop in my tracks. Where am I? I squint in front of me to see nothing. I turn behind me, to see nothing, again. Just pitch black.
"dream? sapnap?"
Nobody is answering. Where the fuck am I?
I turn back around, and start to walk, slowly but, still walking.
"george.."
It's so faint. So faint. But I hear him.
"dream!"
--
I turn around.
I'm met with flames.
Instead of pitch black, it's beaming yellows and reds. Fire lighting everything around me.
"dream!"
I feel the heat on my skin, burning through the delicate layers.
I try to compose myself but I lose it even more when I see him. He's in the flames. My breath hitches at the sight.
He's smiling. Not affected. The glowing gas isn't hurting him at all.
"dream! help!"
He stands still.
I blink. I blink again.
He's gone.
I start to run. Sprint. Right into the fire.
"clay! clay where the fuck are you?!"
My screams turn into tears as I sprint through the flames.
My skin is burning, red and brown marking my body as I make my way through the maze of fire for him. But he's nowhere.
It hurts.
Running through the burning universe for Dream. But he seemed fine. He looked happy.
But I still run. I run to find him. I know he's here.
My sprinting slows as the fire burns deeper than I can handle.
I fall to the blazing concrete. My skin burning at the touch. I almost give up. But I hear him.
"..george"
I blink. I blink again.
There he is.
I leap up, head first into the bright red flames circling Dream. I'm almost there. I have him in my grasp.
I'm reaching.
"dream-!"
I grab him but. My arms are empty.
It's all black again. Pitch black.
Until I blink.
---
Another odd place. But this one. This wasn't scary.
I open my eyes to a field.
An unfamiliar acre of grass, accompanied with varying weeds and flowers. A field of blue petals. Scorpion Grasses. Dream told me about them before.
