Chapter 14: Jacks POV

I pace back and forth, waiting for Jenna to walk in the room. She's been trying to calm Reed down since he was crying the whole day. If only she knew why.

"Okay, what's up?" She asks, startling me

"You scared the sh-" she gives me a look. "Sugar out of me" I finish

She laughs at me. "Nice save"

I smile. "I know"

"What do you want, Blondie?"

"Go out with me. I don't mean that in a weird way. I mean like.. hang out with me tonight. Please?"

"Reed-"

"I already got him covered. Marina's coming over with Nikolai"

"Does he know she's taken by Erin?"

I shrug. "I don't know"

"You know he's gonna flirt and when she turns him down-"

"Everything is going to be fine" I hold her hands in mine. "Let's hang out, yeah?"

She sighs. "Alright..fine"

I jump nearly 2 feet in the air. "Yes!"

I run and put on my shoes. Marina knocks on the door and Reed answers it, giving her a sad smile.

She gives him a side hug. "Aww, boo, you do look sad. What's the matter?"

He nearly melts in her hands. "I-It's a secret"

"I can keep a secret"

"From Jenna?" he snorts. "I doubt it"

"I can!" She pouts

I roll my eyes at the two of them and run to the car while they argue it out. I start the car, letting it warm up before Jenna gets inside.

"Be calm. Don't mess up. Don't act dumb" I tell myself. "Act completely Normal"

Jenna hops inside. "I saw you talking to yourself"

My face turns red from embarrassment. "R-really"

She chuckles. "You looked like you were having a serious conversation"

"Um-uh-"

"Aw I finally made you stutter. That's cute"

My face turns even redder. She knows I like her and she's using it to her advantage. This girl right here is driving me crazy. I start the car up, avoiding her eyes.

"Teasing you is fun" she grins at me

I start driving down the road. "It's not fun for me... Playing with my damn emotions" I mumble

"What?" She says with a confused look on her face

I take a deep breath. "I said quit playing with my dang emotions" I say louder, leaving out the cuss word

That makes her smile even more. "Aww I'm sowwy" she leans over and kisses my cheek

I almost run into the car next to me. "Jenna!" I pout

Jenna giggles. She leans over and plants a kiss closer to my lips. "Sowwy"

"Jenna, quit it" I glance at her and pull into the field

"Am I bothering you?" She smirks

I park the car and turn it off. I turn towards her. "Yes, so I would-"

She plants a kiss on the corner of my lips, stopping me in the middle of my sentence. "Okay, I'll stop"

That came so close to my lips! Oh my gosh. I sit there with my eyes wide, staring at a grinning Jenna. My heart sped up and I sit back in my seat, doing everything I can to quit blushing.

I look around at the three other cars here. They're just couples making out. They aren't really paying attention to what's going on on the screen. I notice Jenna watching them too.

"W-we can go somewhere else if the couples sucking each other's faces off is bothering you" I say avoiding eye contact with her again

"No, that's okay" she says laughing quietly

I shrug and slowly put my arm around her shoulder. I hear her giggle.

"That move is so old" she says, leaning towards me

She puts her head on my shoulder and watches the movie. 'Don't do anything dumb!' I think to myself

We make it back to the house and everyone's dancing. Marina is dancing with Reed while Nikolai spins around in a circle and falls down by the couch.

"You guys had a dance party without me!" Jenna shouts

Marina and Reed jump apart. Nikolai pushes himself of the floor and waddles over, pulling Jenna with him.

"Nana, dance?" He asks, holding his arms up

Jenna giggles. "Of course i'll dance with you, Nik"

I lean against the wall and watch her spin Nikolai around. He giggles nonstop as she sings. He wraps his tiny arms around her neck as She falls on the floor, laughing along with Him. The fast song turns into a slow one.

Marina and Jenna gasp.

Jenna gets teary eyed. "This song makes me cry"

"Me too" Marina squeaks

"What is it?" I ask

"You wouldn't know it" Jenna says "It's moments by one direction"

"Well, Will you dance with me.." Reed asks Marina then adds "Just a friendly dance?"

He must know she has a guy.

Marina nods, but doesn't go towards him. "What about Nik?"

"He can dance too" Reed smiles

Marina grins. "Okay"

Marina picks up Nikolai and makes her way to Reed. They dance slowly with Reed holding on to her waist and Marina putting one hand on his shoulder. She holds Nikolai with her free arm.

I hold my hand out to Jenna. "Everyone else is dancing.."

She chuckles, moving hair out of her face. "Sure, why not?"

She places her hand in mine and I pull her closer. I put one hand on her waist and hold her right hand in my left one. She places her other hand on the back of my neck and lay her forehead on my chest.

"Throw the key. Don't wanna be reminded.. don't wanna be seen. Don't wanna be without you.." She sings quietly

I close my eyes, listening to her sing. "I like your voice"

"I like yours too" she says back, giggling

"Thanks"

Jenna continues to sing. "If we could only have this life for one more day.. if we could only turn back time.."

This is it. This is the perfect song. Tomorrow will be my last day so.. since I only have my life for one more day. I'm glad I spent it with her.
