Finally, they found Aspen's Bookshelves, a cozy yet large bookstore run by its eponym herself, a pretty young witch named Aspen.

The bell above the door rang as it opened and a pretty young brunette- maybe in her mid-20s- turned around from the pile of books on the front table.

"Hi, I'm Aspen. How can I help you?" She said with a bright and bubbly demeanor as she flipped her brown hair back.

"Oh well, I'm looking for these books for school." Victoria handed Aspen her book list.

"You're a transfer student! Congrats! Welcome!"

"Thanks! I'm looking forward to it," she lied.

Aspen looked at Victoria in a way that made her feel as though she could see right through the lie. She fidgeted with the hem of her robe until Aspen spoke again"

"Yeah, Hogwarts does sound pretty cool. Well, let's get you these books."

Victoria followed her around as Aspen flitted around the store, putting books on the growing pile in Victoria's hands. Potions... Charms... Defense... Transfiguration... Magical Creatures.

"Oh, I don't need that particular one."

"It's on the list," Aspen pointed out kindly.

"Yeah but..."

"But?"

"I have tons of copies of that at home..."

"That's an odd book to have tons of copies of."

"My mom... sorta wrote it."

"Well, I can't imagine your mom is Hermione Weasley. So you must be the famous Pipa Goldbloom's."

"Unfortunately," She jokes darkly.

"Okay," Aspen giggled. "But you'll still need these two, right?"

"Yeah, my mom probably won't like me taking her copies of those two."

"Alright so Fantastic Beasts and Monster Book," She charmed the Monster Book to calmness casually before plopping it on the pile.

History... Herbology... Muggle Studies... Arithmancy... Aspen made great small talk about Hogwarts and Wolfmount and her love of books as they danced around the store. As cranky as Victoria was to be in America, she was slowly starting to appreciate the American witch.

"Done!" Aspen said joyfully.

Victoria looked over to Ollie, who was setting his books on a nearby table.

"I can package these and ship them to your home or to Wolfmount if you want."

"We would love that thank you!"

"For your other materials like Moonstone and gloves, may I recommend Fizzling Evergreen? It's the apothecary just across the street. My boyfriend runs it," Aspen said as she took Victoria's debit card.

"Perfect thank you! We will! And where can we get school uniforms?"

"Ms Evelyn Sweeney's! She's a sweet old lady. Down the street that way. Although once you're both sorted you can wear your house colors instead of the boring grays. I was a Phoenix, I much preferred my red robes over my gray ones."

"I have no idea what house I'll be in. I was a Ravenclaw but I hear they sort differently here."

"Yes, they do! Birdy me and let me know what house you are in! I'll be curious."

"I'll owl you!"

"Owl me... you're so British," Aspen giggled and Victoria matched her laugh with her own.
