Within minutes, Sophie came rushing back into the clinic with an amber haired woman. Edaline ran past the two men with Sophie, and went outside into the pastures. Fitz and Grady followed.
"Sophie!" Edaline called. "I need you to transmit to Verdi; tell her to go to the big red tree. Grady, sweetheart, I need you to get to get behind her, in case something goes wrong. And Your Majesty, you- "
"Call him Fitz, Eda," Grady chimed in.
"Alright, Fitz, you go to the red tree with treats. Here," Edaline snapped her fingers, and a bucket full of treats appeared. She passed them to Fitz, with her sweet smile showing, even during the stressful situation.
Everyone went into their positions, while Sophie tracked the loose dinosaur.
~Verdi? Verdi, where are you? ~
~PRETTY BIRDS... CAN VERDI EAT? HUNGRY!~
Sophie mentally groaned.
~NO! DON'T EAT! But go to the big red tree; there will be treats there! You like treats!~
~BIG RED TREE! BIG RED TREE! ~
And even if you were a whole kilometer away, you could have heard the loud stomping of the fast T-rex's feet. And if I must say, that dinosaur could run quickly.
~ Verdi! Come! I'll show you where to go! ~
Then, as fast as lightning, Verdi changed her course towards Sophie. The two of them ran quickly towards the tree, where a petrified Fitz stood there, wide-eyed.
Sophie transmitted to Fitz as fast as she could.
~ Fitz, I need you to drop the treats. Put them on the ground, right near the trunk, and slowly walk behind the tree. Can you please do that? ~
She saw Fitz nod slowly, and do as he was told.
As soon as he got behind the tree, Verdi had gotten to it and began gobbling up the treats as fast as she could. While she was doing that, Grady threw some sleeping powder on her, and within two seconds, she fell asleep, her jaws with sharp teeth wide open.
Using telekinesis, Edaline lifted Verdi off the ground, to her enclosure. While she did that, Sophie stood there panting after the long sprint she done with the dinosaur.
"Are you alright? " She heard an accented voice say. Sophie looked up, and saw the Prince looking over her, concerned.
"Oh, yes. I'm alright.... J-just tired," She said smiling shyly. Fitz smiled back.
When Sophie finally caught her breath, she stood tall, and looked towards Fitz.
"Sorry about all of what's happened, but if you'd like, we could get your cake now."
"Of course! Let's go. And don't apologize; i had much fun. We never have this much action at the castle," Fitz replied.
Sophie smiled at him, and looked ahead blushing. Wait-she was blushing?! No, Sophie Foster, a villager, could not crush over Fitz freaking Vacker!
But she did.
And it was too late to stop her heart from fluttering now.
