As promised, Sophie took the triplets to go star gazing, but only on one condition: if they promised to actually listen to her when she told them to do something.

She brought the children to a large balcony on the top floor of the castle, and she layed fluffy blankets and soft pillows on the cold marble floor. She sat down and patted beside her, to show the triplets to sit down.

"See?" She said, grinning. "Comfy."

Earlier in the afternoon, Bex had sworn that she hadn't wanted to go star gazing, since apparently sitting on the floor for too long could cause a butt disease (in her opinion). Sophie had promised her that nothing would happen, so here she was, grumbling.

"Where do you think Mommy and Daddy are?" Lex breathed out, staring at the dark sparkling sky in wonder.

"I'm not sure... Try looking for constellations that look like them or things that they enjoyed." Sophie replied, unsure of where they could really be.

"Okay, start looking!" Lex said, clapping his hands excitedly. Bex actually smiled for the first time that night since Lex had suggested star gazing, and she helped Lex look for things that could be their parents.

"Are you going to help, Rex?" Sophie questioned the young boy who sat on the blanket with his arms crossed and a pouty look on his face. He grunted and didn't answer. She sighed and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into the embrace. "What's up?"

"The ugly sky."

"Rex, it's obvious that there's something wrong. You can tell me." He groaned, and flopped onto his back, glaring at the dark sky above. "I don't want to do this."

"Why not?"

"It's like... Like proving that they're actually gone."

Sophie thought for a moment (man, she was doing a lot of heart to heart talks), and answered the seven-year-old.

"No, that's where you're wrong: it's proving that they're actually still here."

"How?"

"Well... You know that they are somewhere up there watching over you," She pointed up at the sky. "And that they are in your heart. You still love them, right?"

He nodded.

"Well then, why don't you go find them?" Rex smiled and scooched over to his siblings, who giggled and pointed at different stars in the sky. Sophie layed down onto her back, and gazed at her own patch of bright orbs. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply as a small warm breeze swept by, swinging her long blonde hair along with it. It was such a calm night, feeling the cool air around her, and laying on the fluffy blankets and pillows. Her calm was disrupted however when Bex screamed.

"Sophie!" Bex shrieked at the top of her lungs, and Sophie sat up straight, wide-eyed, looking for the cause of the alarmed scream. Then she got to her feet as fast as she could when she saw.

Bex and Rex were being held in choke holds by two black-cloaked people. Lex was crying and clutching a bleeding nose on the ground, and Sophie ran up to him, before pushing the small boy behind her.

"What do you want?" She growled at them, having flashbacks of the day her parents were murdered. Seeing them again was making her extremely worried, because she knew that they would not hesitate to kill.

One of the cloaked people laughed. The voice sounded feminine, and it was full of evil and cold. "Aren't you a feisty one?" She asked teasingly, but it only made Sophie glare at her more.

The second cloaked person butted in. "Lets get to the point; there's no reason to sugar coat it, anyway. So here's the deal, kid. If you want to see these kids ever again," He gestured towards Bex and Rex, who looked close to passing out. "You come with us. No fights, no tantrums; just walk over here, and we let the kids go. Sound good?"

Sophie scoffed. "Oh yes, we are definitely going with this plan. How about this: you hand the children over first, gently, and then the three of us can make a new deal. Whatever it is, just don't hurt the children."

The cloaked people laughed heartedly. "Aren't you funny," The female cloaked person said.

"But we aren't here to bargain," The second one, sounding male, growled.

Before Sophie could do anything to stop them, they jumped over the edge of the balcony, and disapeared.
