Sophie had brought the triplets, Fitz and Keefe into the triplet's bedroom so that she could help them get changed into dry clothes. However, Lex was now in a sneezing fit and Sophie brought him into the bathroom so that she could get him a warm bath.

"Sophie?!" Bex screamed, and the older girl rushed out of the bathroom.

"Yes?" Sophie asked.

"Can you help me pick out some clothes?"

"Oh, yes, just one second."

"Sophie?!" Rex screamed. Sophie sighed and slowly turned to face the young boy. "Yes, Rex?"

"I need help too!"

"Just one moment please!"

"Sophie?!" Screamed Lex at the top of his tiny sick lungs.

The sixteen-year-old girl pushed down her frustration and walked into the bathroom, where Lex stood shaking with only his jacket off. Sophie raised her eyebrow to ask him what he needed at that exact moment.

"Can you turn on the bath?"

"Yes, I can, I just need one-"

"And can you help me take this shirt off? It's too heavy when it's wet, and it feels weird on my skin."

"But... You're wearing it. And I'm sure that you're strong enough to take it off yourself."

"I don't want to touch it with my fingers," Lex stated as if it was obvious. Sophie groaned and Fitz poked his head into the large crystal bathroom.

"Can I help with anything?" He asked with a small smile. Sophie shot him a grateful look and nodded.

"Lex, do you think that you could let Fitz help you? Your brother and sister also need help, and I'm sure Fitz can help you as well as I could."

"I guess so..." Sophie smiled and left the room, whispering a quick thanks to Fitz as she walked by. When she entered the large bedroom, her eyes widened. Rex was running around the room with his shirt off, while Keefe ran around trying to catch him. In the corner, Bex was somehow holding lipstick, and was putting some on her lips, but not exactly doing it right; her lips now looked dreadfully large.

"What... What is going on? Bex, where did you get that lipstick, and why are you still in your wet clothing? You'll get sick like your brother! And Rex, stop running around and get changed!"

After fifteen more minutes of chaos, Sophie, Keefe and Fitz had all three triplets changed in clean, dry clothing, all looking at least somewhat proper. As Bex, Lex and Rex smiled innocently at the older elves, they felt exhausted. Getting the trouble makers cleaned-up was a lot more trouble than expected.

"Anyway, let's go!" Bex chirped happily, and she skipped out the room with her brothers trailing behind. Sophie, Fitz and Keefe shared a look.

"I honestly don't know how you've survived so far, Sophie, " Keefe said, staring at her with raised eyebrows. "I think that they are an even bigger handful than I was!"

"And that's saying something," Fitz added.

"Oh, shut your trap; I'm sure that you weren't even close to being a perfect child."

"I sure was! Mother told me that when I was a baby, I barely ever cried-"

"No, you chatted her ears off instead."

Sophie rolled her eyes playfully and left the bickering young adults in the room, and she tried to follow the triplets. Keefe and Fitz noticed that she was gone and rushed out of the room, catching up with her.

"What were you you like as a baby? I'm sure that you we're probably a perfect baby; better than Fitz, anyway," Keefe said to Sophie.

"I... I don't know, actually," She answered honestly; she was quite young when Grady and Edaline had found her, but she wasn't a baby. And her photographic memory wasn't good enough to remember being that little.

"You're parents must know, then!"

"They weren't there for that..."

"Why not?"

Sophie didn't answer, but looked ahead. Even though she didn't remember her biological parents that well, she still felt emotionally attached to them, and it was hard to think that they had been killed because of her. It was her fault after all; if only she had been normal, they would still be here.

"Where you... adopted?" Fitz asked cautiously, his eyebrows furrowed in worry.

Sophie nodded and refused to look at either of them. After she had answered Fitz, a slightly awkward silence had spread over the group. Keefe felt bad because he had made Sophie relive whatever had happened, and Fitz was worried about Sophie and wanted to help her. On the other hand, Sophie was quiet because she didn't want them to think that she was weirder than they already thought. I mean, if she told them why she was adopted, they would start questioning her, wouldn't they?

"Um, Sophie? " Fitz broke the silence after a few minutes of walking down the halls of the huge castle, and looked at her. Sophie finally broke her stare with the floor and met his beautiful teal eyes. As she looked into those blue orbs, she felt as if he was reading her mind. Quickly, before he could notice that she was staring, Sophie hummed in response.

"I... I just want to let you know that you don't need to feel... What's the word, restricted to tell me about your past. If you're worried that I'll judge you or... Think differently of you, you have no reason to worry. " He shot her a small smile, and she smiled back, her heart fluttering.

"Thank you, Fitz," She answered, gazing into his eyes. He gazed back with an intensity she had never seen before, and all she wanted to do was leap into his arms and kiss him. Wait, could she even do that? She leaned in slightly-

"Wow, I am feeling extremely third-wheeled right now. Do you want some privacy? I can leave; by the looks of what's going on, I don't think that I want to be here." Sophie and Fitz's eyes finally parted, and both of them blushed madly. They turned to Keefe and met his smug eyes, both glaring at him. He shrugged. "If you were in my situation, you wouldn't want to be here either. I don't want to see two of my friends pushing their tongues down each other's throats."

Sophie was so embarrassed that she barely noticed the fact that Keefe had called her his friend. Fitz simply groaned and ran a hand down his face.

"You know what? Let's go find the triplets."

"Good idea."

"Smooth conversation change, Fitzy. Real smoooooooth." Said Keefe, smirking.
