Sophie and Fitz went through the maze of hallways until they reached the bakery, and the prince followed Sophie into the ice box. On every shelf, there were exquisite creations, from little butterblasts to cakes with rainbow colours. Fitz was looking around in awe; he felt like he had returned to his childhood again.

"Aaaaand... there you go!" Sophie said, showing Fitz the cake.

"Wow! How did you even make that?! It is incredible!" And it really was.

There were three different cakes stacked on top of each other, in three different sizes: the biggest at the bottom, the medium one in the middle, and the smallest at the top. There was white icing, with very light pink icing flowers decorating the large dessert. Fitz couldn't tear his eyes away.

"That really defines Biana," he said.

Sophie blushed, very glad that the tall cake was hiding her face from him.

"T-thank you, " she said, letting her golden locks hide her flushed face further.

"Here, let me help you," Fitz said, being the gentleman that he was. Before Sophie could refuse the offer, he took the big cake out of her hands.

"Fitz! I can do that!" She said stubbornly.

"Nah, I don't think you can," He said with a smirk. Sophie raised her eyebrows.

"Are you challenging me?"

"I think that I am-" But, the next second, the cake was lifted out of his hands by an invisible force; Sophie was using telekinesis. Fitz gasped playfully, crossing his arms.

"How dare you! You shall pay for such actions!"

Sophie stifled a laugh and made the cake float higher.

"I don't think so, Your Highness," She said mockingly.

It was as if the two of them had known each other for years. After Sophie had set down the cake on the counter (she would have been devastated if it had fallen), the two of them began a conversation. They kept teasing the other, and laughing at stupid jokes. Sophie had never felt this way with anyone, and the butterflies seemed to get stronger by the minute.

"Well, Sophie, as fun as this is, I must return to the castle," Fitz said after nearly an hour of talking.

Sophie frowned. "Really? Must you really go?"

"Unfortunately, that is the case. I really enjoyed myself."

"I did too."

The two of them stood there for a second, an awkward silence replacing the usual cheerful atmosphere.

Sophie cleared her throat.

"Well... I-I hope that you ride home safely," She said with a small smile.

"Thank you. And hopefully I will find another random excuse to come visit you," Sophie had to laugh at that one. "Oh, and please write to me if that Verdi gets loose again," Fitz said with a wink.

Sophie chuckled, and nodded. "Of course."

"Goodbye, Sophie!" Fitz said as he walked out of the shop.

"Bye, Fitz! " Sophie said smiling.

And he was gone, the sweet cake smell still lingering in the air.
