⚠ANOTHER SHITTY CHAP⚠

You laid in bed, was woke up hours ago.

After the whole accident between you and Steven, you both went part ways with you shamefully stayed in Carra's apartment that was luckily enough bed for two; it belonged for her boyfriend but they broke up, Carra didn't go for the details so you avoided to ask her about it.

You stared at the ceiling, well, more like at your fingers in the air, your eyes scanning the clothed finger ring with a sad look on your face, the ring hugged your ring finger perfectly; you remembered the night you gave Steven his ring, he was all over the moon.

But after the accident, you didn't dare to look at him again, it was too painful.

It's been a month anyway.

You wondered how he's holding up.

Probably was happy to have you gone out of his life.

You were startled when you heard your phone rang beside you, slowly leaning your hand towards your chest, you glanced at the screen and saw it was Peridot who was calling you; a small smile plastered on your face as you answered the call.

"Hello?" you greeted, leaning the phone to your ear, continued to stare at your ring a bit longer.

Peridot's enthusiastic voice quickly greeted back. "(Y/N), greeting! It's been a while and I was wondering how you're holding up?"

You giggled lowly. "I'm hanging there. Thanks for asking. How's everyone?" you said, playing your thumb against the ring.

You imagined Peridot shrugged. "Everyone is doing well. Well, except Steven. I've seen him so down before... Are you sure you wanted to stay this way? You know that you gotta go back to him eventually."

You frowned as you imagined Steven just kept on laying on his bed and ignored everyone around him. "It wasn't just for me, Peri... It's for both of us. If we couldn't stand apart from each other for a while, how can we know we'll survive in the future?"

"Eh, I guess you're right." Peridot answered. "Putting that aside! We'll be having a sleepover and watch CPH all night! Are you in?" Peridot exclaimed excitedly.

Your body sprung on the bed, a huge smile taken over your face. "Do I?" you questioned. But then, your eyes caught your ring as you brought it closer to your view. You sighed through your nose. "Steven will be there, isn't he?" you asked, fiddling with the ring.

Peridot instantly went hesitated. She scoffed and laughed awkwardly and nervously. "Pfft- No! He won't be there- Alright, he is! But it's only because he's a CPH fan, too! Can't you put this whole argument aside and just have some fun time with me?"

You laid back down. "Sorry, Peri. I gotta turn you down this time. As much as I live CPH, I just can't see him right now..."

You heard Peridot sighed at the other side of the line. "Okay, I understand. Maybe some other time. See ya, (N/N)."

You didn't even get to reply to her goodbye as she quickly pressed the end-call button.

You stared at the screen, Peridot's profile picture was displaying on the screen; slowly, the screen dimming and finally was left on pitch black, you stared at your reflection.

Your reflection showed regression and sadness, a very deep frown displayed on your lips as your eyes squinted painfully; you sighed, letting the phone slipped out of your grasp and landed on the mattress, you laid back down, gripping at the side of your pillows and covered your ears with it.
