Chapter 84

"I hate to break this up but we better get out of here" Gally says.

We run through the city when a loud explosion goes off shaking the ground. Bright red and orange flames engulf a section of the wall. When the fire dies down there isn't a wall where there used to be but people running through and shooting up the city. We all stand their shocked. "The plan was to take down WCKD not the whole damn city" Gally says.

We take cover behind some benches and Minho moves next to Gally. "Why are you helping us Gally, I put a spear through your chest" Minho asks. Gally sighs "No ones perfect" he says patting Minho on the shoulder.

Minho moves back over to Thomas and Newt starts coughing again. "How long has he been like that?" Minho asks Thomas. "It's fine we just got to get back to Brenda" Thomas brushes off the question.
"No Thomas how long?!" I ask frustrated. "A week or so" Thomas says dropping his head.
"HE'S HAD THE FLARE FOR A WEEK AND YOU HAVEN'T TOLD ME!" I shout at him. "I could've helped" I say.
"How?, there's nothing we can do there isn't even a cure remember!" Thomas shouts back.

I roll my eyes and pull a vile full of blue liquid from my pocket. The vile has my name on it in Mary's handwriting. "I can help" I say. Thomas shakes his head "That's for Brenda when she gets sick again, Mary made it for her" he says. "Have you seen her she is as healthy as ever and besides she wouldn't want to be the reason we couldn't save Newt!" I shout at him.

Newt lifts his head and looks at us with sad almost completely black eyes. His lips have turned black and his veins are more visible as they are now black as well. "no" he says weakly. "Tommy's right that's for Brenda". "Newt" I start. "NO I can wait till we get back to Brenda she has the other serums".
