The Grand Ship

A few months had passed since Error and his crew had made contact with Nav. No one was expecting him to be done any time soon and he said they were welcomed to his home as long as they behaved.

For a few pirates, behaving was an issue for a short while, till they were taught the hard truth about the old ship master. He may be a human and he may be old, but he knows powerful and deadly magic.

He wasn't below killing any crewmember that even looked at his grandchildren in the wrong way! Error and Fresh only winced when they saw him down that, killing the bastard that tried to hurt his fourth generation granddaughter. The guy was annoying, so no one was sheading any tears, but the way he went wasn't good looking.

Sighing some, Error watched as their was finally being destroyed. Nav doesn't like wasting good material, so he was basically stripping the ship and reusing its parts.

Lightly, a wet hand was placed on his shoulder, catching his attention. Turning to the owner of said hand, the dark skeleton was meet with a curious raised eyebrow.

The land-walker chuckled some, leaning against the wall near the large, unground tank. Seriously, the house had to be enchanted, but he was positive until a month into their stay, those tanks didn't exist!

"Just old memories on the ship." He hummed. Surprisingly, he got an interested chirping noise.

"Memories that make you look like that? I must know what they are." Ink teased. His English was getting better, helped that Nav knew several different languages to help explain simple concepts... Eh, simple enough concepts.

The crazed eyed skeleton chuckled again, shaking his head before telling the Royal Merman what memories he had on it. Memories before he actually became a pirate!

The stories seemed to interest the small thing, their colorful, changing eyes were changing in a steady, rhythmic way. He was completely focused on the pirate Captain.

An odd, but quiet shiver ran down the two legged monster as he noticed this. He didn't know why, but he liked having the attention on him. He liked having the Merman's full attention, not once having it waver.

"Alright, before I go on, I'm dying to know how the hell you're royalty." He smirked some as he saw an annoyed look cross the other's face. Error had just stopped in the middle of a tail on how he was tricked by some bastard into stealing from his own country. The story of how he actually became a pirate!

Pouting some, Ink ducked down into the water some, but didn't swim away. He could've, very well could've... But he wanted to know about the story. It was so interesting and so... so... Ugh! Words couldn't describe what the colorful Merman was feeling!

"I'm..." He paused, his pout turning to a sorrowful, guilty look. "My family and I were the-"

"Yo, Captain, the ship's done!" A goat crew member shouted, interrupting the Merman.

The interruption caused the tailed being to quickly dive into the water, swimming away. He didn't want to talk about it...

Error frowned, glaring at the crew member, making them tense. Huffing some, he just followed the member anyway.

Quickly, the two made it to the large docks where there was a massive ship waiting! It was tall enough the the if the boat was on the sandy beach, the crows nest would just barely be at the mansion's attic!

"For the love of the sea..." Error murmured, staring at it.

The ship was a beautiful mixture between wood and metal, the belly of the ship being most sunken underwater, but the back was opened with large, wide windows.

"She's gonna be one of my most magnificent master pieces!" Nave called with a smile, wheeling himself over to the Captain, Fresh following in tow.

The parasite scoffed, staring at the new wonder. "I don't think anyone's gonna out match this..." He muttered aloud.

Nav rolled his eyes before shaking his head. "My future Grandchildren will do far better with the world of magic and new ways of living. They will make better boats than I!" He proclaimed, getting soft laughter from the few Grandchildren that were on the docks.

Fresh and Error also chuckled, but they doubted that would happen for a long time.

Soon, the three of them were joined by the soft chirps of Ink and Paperjam. Paperjam smiled broadly at Fresh, making a childish grabbing motion with his hands.

The parasite blushed some before sighing some. He then used magic to lift the other before cradling them in the arms. The Siren gave a happy chirp, curling into the pirate with a wide smile.

The Merman glared some, but stayed quiet about it. He knew something was going on between the two, but he wasn't sure.

Nav soon was rolling down the ramp to the ship carefully. He swears, Ink has only gotten more protective and maternal since the last they talked.

"Come along now! For a Captain and First Mate, you both need to know how the ship works!" He called out.

The three beings nodded, the two land-walkers quickly walking to catch up. They had a feeling this ship was gonna be very impressive.
